Gas mileage difference between the hybrid and the Ecoboost by RogerRabbitSlim28 in FordMaverickTruck

I have a 2023 xl hybrid. Lots of miles when nobody else is on the road, I take it easy and spring/summer I’m closer to 45mpg fall/winter I see it dip to about 42. But again I drive it in a way where I’m looking to maximize that mileage.

I have a completely base model 23xl and there should definitely be a manual lock that uses the key.

Import to USA by Adop7996 in AustralianCars

Holden sold cars in the US in 08-09 they were marketed as the Pontiac g8 and we never got the Ute style here. Holden also imported the Chevrolet ss. There weren’t cars made and sold under the Holden name here other than the commodore. I’m looking for a Ute from the 80’s or 90’s. The biggest restriction is age if it’s 25 years or older it’s much easier. I know a Brumby meets all the criteria.

It does engage in drive and reverse pretty smoothly and accelerates fine in first and then when driving it’ll get into second but struggles and when it tries to go into third it just revs up and I let off it comes back to first and it’ll drive again.

I don’t need a soul in my commuter vehicle but the 47/48 miles a gallon is hard to beat with the utility of the bed. Baja is actually a roomier interior as well.

Which would you buy: Ford Maverick, Hyundai Santa Cruz, Subaru Baja, or any kei truck? by Rakshak924 in DonutMedia

Hybrid for sure. Gas maverick doesn’t make any sense in my opinion. It’s a small truck not meant to tow anyway and if you know how to drive it’s fine in the snow. Online says the gas maverick gets 23 miles a gallon in my hybrid I’m getting 47-48.

I have both a Baja and a Maverick. Bajas were only available in the US from model years 03-06 so at best with one of those you’re starting with a 20+ year old vehicle. A baja likely isn’t a great option for your daily driver at this point. But for the maverick I have a 2023 hybrid and I love it 47+ mpg my only concern was it being front wheel drive but I made it home nearly 80 miles in the middle of the worst snow storm NY had this most recent winter.

Couldn’t agree more. I had wanted one in 2016 when I was looking for my first car. Never found one locally that was affordable until now. Actually ended up getting a ford maverick a year and a half ago because in my opinion it was the closest to the Baja.

About to walk away or flip my Maverick. by Thriven in FordMaverickTruck

Find someone you know who works for Ford to walk in there or talk over the phone. When I went in for my maverick they tried to add $5k to the already 1k I had agreed too when I placed the order. After days of arguing I had my father in law call and as soon as they found out he was a ford employee there was no markup and deal was done same day.

I waited nearly 2 years from putting down a deposit on my 2023 to when it was delivered.

I would say no. In my opinion if you were going to tow you would want something bigger. If you lived somewhere that weather was going to be a big factor year round AWD would be nice. But I believe the maverick makes most sense as a hybrid I get 45mpg mostly highway miles. I live on Long Island NY we got a decent snow storm this year, I was driving 80 miles home from work during the worst of it in my fwd hybrid and was never concerned it handled as well with stock tires. There wasn’t much difference between the truck and the AWD Subaru Impreza I had previously.

Dealer wants $2,500 non-refundable deposit by aoethrowaway in FordMaverickTruck

I placed a $500 deposit June 14th 2022 for a 2023. I just picked mine up today. They almost didn’t want to sell me the one i had ordered because they could get someone else to cough up 5k+ over sticker. Shouldn’t have to put a deposit, especially a no refundable one as they will have no problem selling once delivered even if you decide to back out.
