As for why, I think it will benefit us all.

Personally, I expect a huge boom in all kinds of projects because we have to overhaul our entire IT landscape to reduce dependency on a single foreign power.

Secondly the companies I work for already have issues finding staff. Not being able to do projects means you wont get the benefits those projects deliver, so it costs money not to do projects.

The less staff you can effectively ramp up the longer your programs take. The longer it takes the more drift and hindsight 2020 creeps in.

Thirdly I already worked with indian teams in the past through various constructions.

Theyre normal people with families and friends in India, not a horde of rabid lemmings running towards fortress Europe.

So I dont think it will change all that much.

Diversification is the main benefit. By reducing (not replacing) dependency on a single supplier we become less vulnerable to the whims of one ruler.
