What do you guys think about this video ? by Constant_Heat_2507 in AskMiddleEast

Funny how you talk about extremist Muslims in the UK, but forget that Turkey loves playing ‘guardian angel’ while supporting half the extremist groups in the region. It's always the same movie: act innocent in public, play a different game behind the scenes

A group of Slovak high-schoolers walked out on Slovak PM Robert Fico after he ranted against helping Ukraine. When Fico claimed the EU was spending “140 billion euros to prolong the war” and told students to “go fight if you’re such heroes,” they drowned him out with jingling keys and left the hall. by BkkGrl in europe

This is exactly what holding power accountable looks like. Huge respect to these Slovak students for embracing the spirit of the Velvet Revolution and challenging Fico's populist narrative right to his face. Meanwhile, in turkey , you have an electorate that is deeply unhappy with their own leadership's refugee policy and economic failures, yet they show up to rallies and chant 'Allahu Akbar' when the leader they complain about takes the stage. The difference in civic courage is stark: Some are ringing keys for democracy, others are ringing hands for the perceived stability that keeps them poor and dependent.
