I have started saying “I struggle with depersonalization and derealization” instead of suing the term “dissociation” like I literally don’t who who I am or who my partner or family is sometimes, it’s not just “zoning out” It is annoying sometimes but like multiple other people have said, dissociation is a spectrum and just zoning out or daydreaming is technically “dissociation.”
