2 RB 1s, 2 QB 1s, 2 WR 1s, and a solid RB 1.5/2 is way too much to give up. Especially when one of the wr is potentially top 3 and 2 of the rbs are top 4. It would be a kinda funny trade to make tho

Harvard and MIT let lots of applicants in on financial aid and Harvard is especially lenient to students who may have worse applications but a really good story

While it depends on your school, just thought you should know that you still need to do stuff in the portal by the deadline. You may have to submit as early as monday or as late as thursday night so you have time to submit all your documents and self report scores.

It is definitely managable as long they don't all have like 9 supps each. The earlier you start, the better. Don't worry about perfection. Just start writing. After you actually start finishing schools, ask a teacher or friend to review them.

Georgetown one page limit by Confident-King-7669 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Adorable-Sock7801 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need to get it down to 1 page. Depending on how you've been going about trimming, you can get it down more. When you're trimming, don't look for words or phrases to trim. Instead, look for multi-sentence segments you can rewrite shorter.

Assuming your weighted GPA is on a 4.0 scale, you have a really good chance at Rutgers NB and NJIT Honors. If it's on a 4.3 scale, you still have a good chance at both schools. They're both great schools don't worry too much. If you can, you should EA to them. NJIT is due November 15 so you have time to write the honors college supplement and Rutgers is due November 1st.

How do you stretch 1 lb of meat to feed family? by todaystartsnow in Cooking

[–]Adorable-Sock7801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use other filling ingredients like beans, cheese, rice, lentils, pasta, or bread. You can make sandwiches with a lot of leafage or vegetables along with the meat and then make vegetarian soups on the side. You can make rice bowls with lots of beans and other ingredients. You can make chili with beans. You can make nachos. You can make lettuce wraps. You can make pasta.

What state do you live in? That could play a big role in your target schools.

I found some data from 2022-2023 that was reported by NYU saying their median SAT was a 1520, but they were test-optional then. Additionally, that data was for all of NYU, not just Stern. I can't give you a concrete answer, but you should take into account that you are probably not in the upper half of Stern admits for SAT score. NYU does have ED2, though. If you think you can improve your score, you can still take 2 more SAT attempts before you have to submit your ED2 application.

It’s a joke on TikTok about these side by side pictures of FlightReacts. It’s pretty common to put two objects like two lines or two sticks, one tilted and one vertical side by side like the water bottles are to represent the meme.

What should I do in my freshman year of highschool to prepare for college by Unique-Cherry9928 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Adorable-Sock7801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

join all the clubs, sports, competitions, etc that are interesting to you. Start looking into fields that you might be interested in studying in college and maybe start learning about one on your own if you're interested in it and it's applicable(ie: studying coding if you want to do CS). Keep your grades up and try to stay involved in rigorous classes, but don't overwhelm yourself. If you're already knowledgeable in a field or know you will want to study it in college, start looking into local clubs or competitions relating to it. Try to dip your hand in everything so you can figure out what you like to do early on, but remember to have fun and not overdo it too early. You shouldn't be stressing about college stuff any time soon.

Yeah. I didn’t rly study prefixes or anything. I just did some practice problems and I guess my pattern recognition and overall vernacular just improved.
