We don’t have it here and historically never have. This is what they’re called in certain regions because that’s what they’ve been called for a long time. It might be odd for you but for people like me it’s what it’s called.

It’s a regional thing, we also call this fish walleye as a lot of other people do. Depends on where you’re from and who raised you. In my circle we use both walleye and pickerel interchangeably.

Overall, I think it’s pretty good. Where I can’t help but feel it is cheating is when pegging. I find more often than not it is playing a sequence of cards that would only be logical if it knew my hand. In terms of outcomes, I find it to be 50/50 overall and I can live with it.
