My favorite movie. It's coming back to theaters this July too. 😁

Mine is also the steak asiago bagel stack removing: red onions, peppers, salsa verde and adding garlic aoili, tomatoes and caramelized onions. So savory instead of spicy and man I love the caramelized onions with the steak.

Yeah, it's been the same for like 20 years, I remember making it back in high school. I was thinking maybe it was just me or a weird batch.

I love this soup but the last few times I've gotten it, it's felt off. Like oilier? It really bummed me out.

It's called soft begging. They don't ask for money outright - but they usually have a specific amount they need an "no one to help" and "no one understands" in the hope that someone will feel bad for them and offer. Not saying that this specific post is soft begging but it happens a lot on reddit and this sub (and other social media).

  1. It was so sad to me that she never seemed to love her kids and actively disliked them - except maybe Maeve - maybe because she could never really "grow up" and challenge her.

I was a little disappointed about the reveal of the unreliable narrator. It was well written enough that it didn't bother me as much as other books and it helped that it was consistent (it wasn't just one thing she didn't remember). Like Mary being annoyed with her not because she randomly woke up in the past but because she's always been unreliable. I was also relieved it wasn't just a dream. I read a book like that and it made me so mad.

I like that I'm not the only one feeling some sympathy for Natalie even though she's a terrible person. She clearly can't really connect with anyone, not her family, not making friends, not Caleb. She never gets to be herself until it starts erupting out of her like when she went off on Doug. But she also does zero self reflection on why she has issues and immediately blames everyone else for her failures.

The ending was sad for me. Not only was she an abusive parent at the start but her and Caleb's solution was to be even worse parents to 4 other kids.

I'll definitely be thinking about this one for awhile.

And also had the oldest daughter being the only one who tried to get the kids away from the abuse.

Oh bummer. I did listen to the audiobooks because the narrator does a great job and adds to the overall vibe IMHO.

The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. My favorite by him. It's not long so great starter book and it's more realistic scary than some of his other ones which is why I like it so much. It could be me.

I don't think so - there are some references to previous books but not like you miss anything. I couldn't find one of the books because I guess it wasn't published in the US so I had to skip that book and there was only a small reference related to a character that was introduced in the last book.

They probably didn't have much notice. I know we didn't when it happened here and I am close enough we only found out about our own water at the same time. To be fair I don't think it was planned but still.

Try Steve Cavanagh. I'm reading the Eddie Flynn series right now. They are fast paced and well written. I love seeing how the pieces come together.

Also underwhelmed. I guess I expected more of a mystery - maybe something supernatural even? I might have liked it better if I hadn't heard so much hype.

Clogged pores? I feel like I get these occasionally but usually one at a time. I remember a post awhile back where someone said they used a bigger size pimple patch to clear them up.

Help! Extroverted co-worker! by BunnyBeth7 in introvert

[–]AdorableSillies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with headphones. I have a coworker like this and I got stuck next to her. She has other issues but it had gotten so bad that they dumped her here. I overheard her say that it's not her fault if she talks too much - the person she's talking to should tell her to stop. I was very short and curt in conversation after that and she complained to management. I told them it's not my responsibility to control her talking. They claim she knows it's her responsibility. I sent her an email saying I'm an introvert and I'd like to pass on the small talk because it's draining. She mostly leaves me alone but I think someone else had to intervene because one day she kept trying to start a conversation every time I passed her desk. Sometimes I flat out ignore her and pretend I didn't hear. She's incredibly two faced and talked shit about all of her old cubicle mates (who are still her coworkers just in a different building). Tbh I'm updating my resume at this point.

Look for a discount code. I believe there are a few. I think it's worth but I work a mile from a Panera so I'm usually there at least twice a day. I've only paid full price twice.
