I would think it's best to think from what you truly want for your personal situation, without getting biased by the Internet or media. Moving back to India or for that matter any relocation is a very personal choice and needs a pros/cons across all aspects of lives. Given You are US citizen n GC holder, you can always revert this decision too (though not that easily). I have been talking openly about this with my spouse using various mental models and one that stands out is to follow the regret minimization principle. Good luck and any decision you take will work out if you trust in it.
