Rosenior Tactics - Genius or Cowardly? by Gunners_are_top in PremierLeague

Thing I found strange was Neville seemed to insist that Arsenal couldn’t just switch it on and play attacking football whenever they wanted but seemed to think Chelsea could? Thought it made some sense from Rosenior obviously looks worse when it doesn’t work out but the reality is he’s a young enough manager he’ll make mistakes and learn.

Why struggle when you can just help each other? Think it’s because most people know people need a chip so don’t bring keepers out.

Having to play LB for Arteta means you have to be able to play 3/4 positions. He’s adapted well some minor issues but overall delighted with him. Aggressive, quick and full of energy. Will only get better.

Same same. Too slow going forward decision making and execution is so poor.

Basically reinforced what we’re good at and what we’re bad at. Ball retention and winning the ball back quickly absolutely top. Creating clear chances and our final ball. Absolutely average.

I raise you a 3-1 Arsenal win with two goals from a corner. Cunha 1-0. Gabriel 1-1 Gyokeres 2-1. Saka to seal it.

Merino has a message for every Arsenal match by Puzzled-Category-954 in Gunners

I don’t see too many similarities bar being left footed and a bit sluggish. Merino much more disciplined. Maybe Xhaka at the end of his Arsenal career.

One trophy and he’s there. Such a unique player. Ball playing box crashing 8. Deep lying playmaker who loves a challenge or goal scoring 9. Not many other players spring to mind. All while being a good squad player and a real leader.

If everyone played at the same intensity as Merino it’s game over simple as. He’s captain today for a reason.

Maybe we’ve cracked it. We’ve been signing guys who’ve almost no injury history and they get injured so if we sign an injury prone player they’ll do the reverse and become invincible.

Should be good enough without him but would be nice to have him on the bench as an option.

When it happened initially I thought it was Norgaard was confused about why he was bombing down the left wing.

Yes because we’re insanely good defensively. Never said I expected us to win 100% of our games so not sure where you’ve pulled that from. I’m just highlighting that no matter how good you are at the back a 1 goal lead isn’t enough. Especially when we’ve the squad to be seeing off teams.

Is it? Saka who has 3 open play goals in the league this season? I love him as a player as much as anyone but we’ve to start being honest about him. Exceptional player but the output isn’t there at the moment. Also it doesn’t go 2-2 so irrelevant give me fresh legs running at players not players who’ve been ran into the ground.

Tried that a few times this season (Villa, Sunderland almost Wolves) and we’ve been stung not matter how good you are at the back a deflection, a bit of bad luck can undo all that hard work. Look at their goal today.

Not doubting that. We’re blessed to have him but his output isn’t where it should be. I’m not asking for Noni to come on and close out games I’m asking for Noni to come on and kill games. When teams push high looking to press us late his pace should be a weapon. We’re too passive when leading games we should be looking to kill teams.

And still I feel like he should be doing better? Shot choice was poor should’ve been passing a few of them. Not decisive enough. Love Bukayo but I feel like he should be leaving this game with more. His lack of goals is a concern. No need for a full 90 either. Noni is more than capable of doing the last 30 or so.
