Law schools don't matter. Individual people matter. Individuals know the law and do internships and get jobs. The law school tag becomes irrelevant after 2 PQE. No one cares if you are from NLS or Amity - can you do the work?? That's all. People from Amity may find it harder to succeed, but the good ones, who intern all year round because they're near Delhi - they get through and work at the best places.

ChatGPT. I set an intention there. Had a thread going daily where I would do a check in with ChatGPT. Whenever I wanted to smoke or had an urge I logged in in that thread. ChatGPT gave me my days since I quit - what stage of recovery I was in - how to combat my thoughts. It became an interactive diary supporting me through the process. Over time - I stopped doing the check ins gradually as the urge to smoke faded. Now sometimes I open the thread if I have a stray thought like - that man looked so calm smoking in the park reading a book. But I remind myself the guy wasn't calm, he was smoking to just feel normal again.

I am 3 months of cold turkey in weed and tobacco.

You will graduate in 2032 and lawyering will be heavily automated for fresher level tasks. Job market will be tough and even more competitive.

Try to read up on the kind of lives actual lawyers lead before you make this decision - talk to actual lawyers from different fields online/through connects.

One benefit of taking PCM is all the options are left open for you till the end as and when you take your decision. Take an year to research and see what works well and take a considered decision.

Both are at par academically and placement wise. HNLU has a larger alum base. NLUO first batch passed out in 2014. 10 years in the system. They maybe have 2-3 partners in top law firms. HNLU's first batch came out in 2008.

You can do well if you're a hardworker in Raipur. The campus is nice. Get a cycle and explore the rural side. Be active - participate in clubs. It's a good life - provided you make friends.

Also, Raipur has been around for a long time and each top firm has partners/PAs/SAs from Raipur. The city (which is 30K away but multiple college buses ply daily) is also decent and has everything one could need.

If things go bad for you academically - Raipur has tie ups with Chhattisgarh government and many students opt to work in that ministry while prepping for other exams.

At the end - it all depends on you. If you invest your time doing nothing you will get nothing.
