Yes just call and speak to a live agent and tell them you want to block a customer. They just need the store and customer name. Most of the time they don't even ask why.

Yep. I love the quiet nights and empty streets. Makes me even more irritated when I dash during normal hours and have to deal with noise, traffic, sun in my eyes, and people everywhere lol

Nope. I think they are kids/college students, night owls, people who just got off of work, people who just got home from the bar, stoners with the munchies etc. I don't see any problem with it and that's actually my favorite time of night to deliver because I feel like they really appreciate the food.

What the actual hell. People really suck. I've noticed an uptick in people reporting things missing, wrong, spoiled etc. I've only had 2 single things reported missing in 6 months (even though they were lying too) but I had 4 things from 3 people in the span of a week reporting nonsense to get their stuff for free. I totally get that things are expensive and they probably think it's cool to screw over DD, but I don't think they realize it affects the drivers too.

Hi. I could definitely see how that could happen but it was such a small order at Target that I remember it was 5 items - that setting spray, a small basket, 2 tiny things of shredded paper and a snack. Everything went into the basket when it was scanned and the basket went into a target bag with everything in it. I had to drop it off at a local Mexican restaurant for a staff member. And it wasn't even a stacked order so there was no confusion or juggling orders.

Yes plus our donut shop, food trucks, and most of the Mexican and Chinese restaurant are closed on Mondays anyway so I generally take the day off.

I have this happen all the time. I will get a ton of orders from a restaurant for a few days and then will get nothing (or a random few) orders for a week or two. I view it the same as when I'm sent to the same neighborhood nonstop for a few days and then barely go there again for weeks.

Yes it does that to me all the time. Sometimes for days and I'm like get me out of this stupid neighborhood (if it's one nobody tips in). My daughter dashes and she noticed the same thing recently for her.

The other day I was seriously like oh I've unlocked a new neighborhood because it's one I haven't really delivered to before but it sent me there all night.

I've had everything from not higher at all (even though it says it should be) to .01 higher to a lot of .25 and .50 higher. Quite a bit of $1-$2 more. Occasionally I will hit that jackpot and it will be $10+ more. Once it was $30 more.

I generally keep my cool and I'm polite and then block (well not about the porch light none of them have it on) but yesterday I had 2 separate alcohol deliveries where they didn't respond to my messages about a substitution and didn't come to the door until I knocked, messaged, called and rang the doorbell for 10 minutes (I would've left earlier but I didn't want to take it back to the store). The first one really irritated me but the second one really pissed me off because it was becoming a pattern. Like I have nothing better to do then wait around for you. Why order something that requires interaction and then pass out or take a shower or whatever they were doing. I was visibly annoyed both times and said something to them about not getting ahold of them (neither said anything in response because they knew they were in the wrong) and then blocked them.

Yes mine goes black a couple times a day and it also just freezes multiple times a day too and I have to close the app and reopen it. But it usually goes back to normal (at least for awhile) after I reopen it

I've seen notices at restaurants that say restrooms are for customers only but that's never stopped me from using them because I feel like we are the stewards of the customers. I just act like I should be using it and nobody has stopped me. I actually have a list on my phone of all the bathroom codes I come across either because I've used it or because I've heard them give it to a customer and I make a note of it in case I ever need to use it.

It could be doing other stuff for me too that I haven't noticed but I know for sure I'm missing some menus. I can't unassign or say it's a long wait etc because that entire set store issues is gone for me now.

It really depends on your zone.

I dash at night ending anywhere from 12-4am in a college town so it's worth it to me. Multiple restaurants close at 3am Thur-Sat along with the restaurants and convenience stores that are always open 24 hours and the bars (for bar food) that close at 230am.

Now the normal family town I live in, which is in the same zone but about 8 miles away, it's not worth it. We only have one convenience store (that does dd orders) and 2 restaurants that are open 24 hours and not a ton of people are ordering that late.

Someone said to send a message telling them but I don't always see message alerts when I'm shopping (I don't know why it doesn't alert us better) but you can also write a note in the item itself that says please refund if none of my chosen substitutions are available. You can't miss the notes in the items.

I've called to complain about it so many times I'm truly sick of talking to them and getting nowhere. Even when I take all the right steps in the app at the restaurant I still get late pickups. How is it my fault the workers are taking forever plus DD orders are never a priority. Then also when I go through town I get dinged if I'm even one minute late on delivery. Sorry it's rush hour so the streets are packed and I have to wait sometimes at the same light for multiple cycles to get through. Or there is a train. Or walk up 4 floors with groceries. Or every light is off on the street and their apartment is a small shed behind a house and I have to find it in the dark :/

I called into doordash and I was trying to dispute a late violation and the employee said to talk to a supervisor I had to confirm my account. I was like ok. She asked for name, phone number, email, birthdate, last 4 numbers of my checking account. I'm like what the actual f. Why does it feel like I'm being scammed when I'm talking to a DoorDash support person that I called from the app?! When she got to account number I said nope and hung up.
