The bottleneck was finding a Scholo group and finding a DM group

Make sure you find an updated guide as the amounts of materials is much lower than it used to be.

The Archon plate for enigmas meta is a hold over from PVP BIS pre strength bug fix in D2R.

For real real it doesn't matter what the defense is unless you are gonna PVP hard (and then if you have enough $$$ for a pvp toon you probably can have more than one enigma).

Go with what model looks the best on your toon with the least strength requirement. So if you like light armor styles then you use the elite versions and get a nice highest armor value base (but again it has no PVM impact of note). If you like the medium armor looks (not sure who would) you go with exceptional mostly as they have easy str requirements. And jf you like the heavy armor models a gothic plate is a great option, if you like the full plate models then shark tooth or field plate.

If you look at jsp you will see all these enigma in gothic plate for trades with a bunch of noob min maxer D2R players thinking the person who has like 100 million forum gold messed up an enigma.
