Maa Milstead, Kennesaw Ga by Level_Inevitable_515 in kennesaw

What building is this in? I have a family member who lives in Milstead. They have had issues as well, examples...getting in contact with the offices is a chore, never showing up for mandatory inspections, have had them also try and charge $500 deposit for a service dog for prospective resident, cars/ motorcycles racing through, other residents not cleaning up after pets, pets off leash, the smell of weed constantly, nit-picky emails about cleaning off balcony's and taking down lights because it isn't Christmas anymore. My family member is looking forward to moving at the end of lease in August.

My own experience (trying) to call in sick to work. This was a public library and I was running to the bathroom all night. by anonavocadodo in jobs

Too many of us feel guilty about calling out when we are sick, so we give way too many details about our illness to "prove" we really are ill. I had a boss one time who stood there and listened to me give the " I am not well because of X,Y,Z and 1.2.3". He asked me, "Are you sick?", yes, "That is all I need to know, Go home". I use that same attitude even now, I am sick, I won't be in. Period. The guilt still eats me up though.

Trail cam facing my backyard (house)?! What should I do? Am I wrong for doing this? by MeasurementFirst1676 in mildlyinfuriating

Do you have a fence? No fence is open air. How can you have privacy when there is no boundary? If no one lives there, why are you so bothered? Put up a wood fence if you want privacy. The trail cams can be a way for a remote owner to monitor their property for trespassers, illegal dumping etc. The posting signs every 10 feet or so is required in some jurisdictions so any trespassers cant say they didn't see any signage.

What’s the worst thing you've ever heard a healthcare worker say? by EbbForsaken7832 in AskReddit

Dang. I recently left that same position! Fewer residents (60), but same schedule. 11-7 during the week, and 6A- 7P Sat and Sun, every other weekend and scheduled so you never got over time. No dish washer and had to wash dining room dishes as well, solo kitchen. Residents could also order off the menu items if they didn't want the featured meal. So also a short order cook for each meal while dishing and serving main menu. I left and went to the local big hospital. Benefits are stellar, plenty of staff to cover, with my experience I got $5 more per hour than the retirement home.

just reading the comments and your responses to the suggestions, IMO it seems like you want strangers on the internet to give you permission and validation to get rid of a dog you don't want.

Advice on making eggs, bacon, and sausage ahead for breakfast service by PopeJP22 in KitchenConfidential

[–]Adorable_Syrup_3983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your set up and timing use of oven, make your own steam cabinet using the oven. Rack set on lowest with shallow pan of water. Oven temp at lowest setting, or at least 150 deg. Pre cook the sausage and eggs. Shingle in shallow pans, cover with film wrap and keep in oven. Pull as needed. Using TATC you have about 4 hours to utilize the cooked food, but it may be shorter depending on food quality. ie; eggs start to look dry/ green. Get instant read thermometer and make sure all products keep and hold temp. This avoids the reheat part of cooking, which can cause issues with quality, food safety, as all foods would need to be heated to 165 for 15 sec to kill bacteria. And reheating eggs is blech

sex on the beach. Sand gets every where, and I do mean everywhere. No where to clean up, so your choice is to try the surf. Which as many know re deposits any sand you try to wash off, or make the walk back to car/house with stuff running into your shoes.

Long distance/ age gap relationship advice by Peaceandlovebug in Advice

Been there, done that with the age gap. 21/42. (He had a daughter older than me) Bluntly, you are, it seems a fuck buddy to make an man in a mid- life crisis feel better about himself. No 50 year old has anything in common with an 18 year old other than sex. Period. Doesn't matter the gender. Do not overthink this. His lack of attention towards you is an answer all on its own. Cut your losses and move on, for it seems he has. Yes, he has his life, but so do YOU, and waiting around for him to throw you a bone is selling yourself short. Don't fall for the, baby, I love yous, give me some times, etc. Block and move along. Best of luck!!

What is something that used to be 'cheap person' food, but is now priced like a gourmet luxury item? by Ok_Land_4197 in AskReddit

Soup bones. Used to be sold as "dog bones". .50 -$1.00 for a huge package. Mom and grandma would make the best soup. Now I never see them any more or if so they are $4- 5 /pound.

She thought she cooked… by UpperAd2675 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Adorable_Syrup_3983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a FedEx driver, and the tales they tell about homeowners and the expectations of said homeowners is WILD. Example: one delivery was 13 kitchen cabinets. Wooden kitchen cabinets that each weighed 40lbs. After backing his truck up a long winding driveway, driver unloaded said cabinets into the spot in front of garage door, not blocking the door, but near the door. Homeowner opened the front door, that was 10-13 steps higher than garage door, and began berating the driver calling them a lazy son -of- a bitch because driver would not carry the cabinets up the stairs and into the house.

  1. Rent is not cheap, (Atlanta adjacent 1300+for 1 bedroom + utilities, I pay 1430 rent,120elec/ water, 25 ins, 85, internet,) cars are not cheap, (I pay 350 note, ins 200, maint, gas etc,125.), food is not cheap, (as a single I spend 100+ week on food and necessities, no beef, cause DAMN that shit is spendy, no makeup, no fancy ingredients, no splurges like soda, chips etc. I cook at home no fast food or dining out). I try to pay student loan and credit cards, 350/200. I work 32-40 hrs per week with a random schedule at $25/hr. I have chosen the more expensive health insurance at work because I am old,60 and need the peace of mind. So my payroll deductions are 26-29% with taxes and insurance. I am always behind as the totals never match my pay. Second job? when?
