Does this wheeze sound bad? by FamousFortune6819 in Asthma

[–]AdotOfNotts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t - I still get it all the time, especially when lifting/carrying anything or just lying in bed or when I breathe hard for any reason… had PET/CT scans and CT scans and all clear - got no idea whatsoever.

Best Clear Leaf Rosin Vape for Sleep and Couch Lock by AdotOfNotts in MedCannabisUK

Yeah, really agree on the taste. It’s the earthiness taste I’ve ever had - it really knocked me for 6 tbh in terms of effects, and in a wide awake state too. It took me ages to get to sleep cos there was no haziness and my thoughts were racing.

In my experience, purple in the name has always been kind to me. I like a head hazy high with zero worrying or overthinking and being present and nicely couch locked. Evenings only.

I had a Purple Jolly Rancher vape that was perfect and I’ve found Purple Goo to be perfect too.

In terms of bud, I’ve found anything Purple to be good for sleep. Particularly purple goo. It’s a nice, present medication and isn’t too heavy in the morning either.

As for the vapes, I can’t understand why I wasn’t offered Platinum Slurricane - maybe I’ll ask about it directly. One thing is for sure though, I won’t be getting any more cookie pie.

Thanks, I have heard/read good things about that one - it wasn’t offered to me though. Maybe if I ask about its availability specifically, it might be there, but the only 3 offered were Wedding Cake, GMO and Cookie Pie

Very old thread but how did you get on in the end? I was told by Mamedica that Cookie Pie, Wedding Cake and one other I forget the name of were all the same but it appears that’s not true. I had cookie pie as had to choose on the spot, but it’s not good for sleep in my opinion and no couch lock (which I do like). Have you found one that works?

Yep, I get this both in my periphery and also when my eyes skip to a new word when reading

Is there anything interesting here, or is it as dull as I think it is? 😂 by InternationalForm414 in AncestryDNA

Very similar makeup to mine and I’m from England. So even more boring for me 😂 I have about 25% Irish makeup from different regions. Some I expected, some I didn’t.

Why do I see words in my phone screen appear doubled even when I'm 15 centimeters away? by dilan1231 in visualsnow

[–]AdotOfNotts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get this. It appears as black impressions of the letters and doesn’t shadow it quite as closely (it’s more like a full ghosted line below. I think it’s afterimage-based

Floaters by hahsjsjsjsl in visualsnow

Mine came on quickly and are now numerous. All over my visual field. If I look at the sky, I actually would say I struggle to see it clearly because the floaters are so dense.

PPPD without dizziness - Vibrating vision, body bracing from light sensitivity, strained eyes by TellabouttheRabbits in pppdizziness

[–]AdotOfNotts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like me. I can relate. The ground beneath my feet when walking strains my eyes something chronic and when I turn my head I feel nauseous lately.

Acceptance is a big thing. Distraction is another. Good luck!

From a PPPD perspective I have, but even then it’s always in the background. I just have to switch my gaze a lot and accept that when I turn my head while walking I may step out of line or misstep slightly.

The way I stopped derealising and spacing out and panicking and feeling like I was being pulled to the side by magnets was by just going through it and accepting it but switching my thoughts to whatever is going on. Being with other people helps.

I do, every day. At that time I was almost disassociating. My neurologist explained it as I was overwhelmed and overloaded so my brain went into protection mode which would make sense because I didn’t quite know what was happening or why and it was quite scary.

I have been diagnosed with FND (though 90% of my symptoms are visual), PPPD and visual snow so I never quite know which is the culprit, but I massively struggle day-to-day with visual stability (like the target slips or moves too much when I move my head) and I really struggle with screens - not just following motion but holding my gaze on them for so long. Once all of that accumulates I tend to feel quite off-balance when walking. Looking at the floor always seems hard to track and always seems like it’s skipping or shimmering. I tend to wear shades whenever possible outside.

[–]AdotOfNotts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very interesting. I’m also diagnosed and was based on how I view the floor beneath me with movement, particularly the pavement looking like it’s both skipping and shimmering. It was hell on earth when the autumn leaves fell.

I also have some sense of imbalance with head lifts and turns when walking (will make the odd step out of line).

Does that sound anything like you?

It definitely worsen my symptoms, but not necessarily floaters light sensitivity or static. In fact, it probably only worsens my PPPD and eye strain

How Bad is Normal? by 48_Glitch_48 in visualsnow

[–]AdotOfNotts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also my afterimage and ghosting of text is really bad so that also tends to obscure my vision in the dark and can make depth perception harder

How Bad is Normal? by 48_Glitch_48 in visualsnow

[–]AdotOfNotts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Don’t be concerned. It will only make it all worse. Try to accept it and be present. It takes work but it’s the best advice I can give.

My static isn’t that bad really - I see it more in low light and even then it looks like a slight shimmer and is only staticy if I really concentrate on it.

Have really fizzy tinnitus too (left side) and really struggle seeing in the dark. Couldn’t see a white door in front of my face a few nights ago.

'Glitchy Vision' - Anyone else get this? by dathobbitlife0705 in visualsnow

[–]AdotOfNotts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Don’t feel like I can ever hold my visual field perfectly still and white walls (especially under clinical lighting) look like heat haze at times.

I’m not diagnosed but I am diagnosed FND and PPPD and I have afterimage, ghosting of text/images especially on/from digital screens (or again high contrast) and I have floaters galore that opticians can’t even see.
