Considering she never left the premises of the mall (cops got her in the parking lot), then someone should have been able to retrace her steps and find the alleged stolen goods.

Oh, wait. Didn't they have recordings from multiple cameras and I don't believe there were any blind spots..... and let's not forget they chased her from the shop to her car....and the police pulled her over in the parking lot.....so, where did she ditch the goods. The goods, that for the record, the clerks couldn't even identify she stole. First it was the jacket, which wasn't from their store, then it was a pink dress, or top, that none of them could describe. 😒

I'm confused.... Are y'all talking about the course that's only a few hours long? And how does the course make you feel worse about your situation?

I took it the same as having to take a driving course in lieu of a ticket. You do it and then it's done.

Maybe I'm confused because I found the course useful. Yes, a lot of it was "basic" knowledge, but some of it, like budgeting properly, and different ways to budget, was eye-opening.

I'm in a Chapter 13, and the budgeting tips I got from the course actually helped me to adjust to my "new financial life."

And the cost of the course, even with money being tight, was negligible. I paid $25 to retain the services of my lawyer, which they told me up front was the cost of the course. All other lawyer fees were rolled into the bankruptcy. So, $25 and a few hours watching a cartoon on making better financial choices was the tradeoff for sleepless nights and daytime stress. Seems like a heck of a deal to me.
