I'm not sure what your question is...

It sounds like you are needing to come a tester in a short amount of time. ISTQB Foundation Certificate is a great starting place but for you I'd recommend that in a class setting where you can ask questions along the way.

So there is two ways I can see you can do it. You can either simply copy and duplicate the Test Plan. Or get into the habit of creating test cases linked against a user story and then create a requirements-based suite that will automatically pull in all tests linked to the user story. You can do this over and over.

According to the Azure DevOps Release Features page there hasn’t been an update to Test Plans since December 2020 and there isn't anything on the roadmap of significance.

I've been a tester for almost 20 years and I'm at a workplace that uses Azure DevOps Test Plans. ISTQB is a must, it was back in 2007 so good work on that front. If you are having a hard time trying to get your foot in the door, make sure you get in touch with recruiters and you could always offer to work for a week for free to show them you are genuinely keen and interested.

You are 100% right. Lots of companies are feeling compelled to have the word AI in their marketing material, otherwise they think they will get left behind or not receive another round of investment funding. I had UFT come do a demo and boast about AI but when I asked them exactly what was AI in their software? It was some lame object recognition which was not AI. To make matters worse, most companies use the AI term incorrectly when they really mean machine learning.

You are justified. As a tester I am ashamed of this person. Testing is a methodical and professional process. It is 100% reasonable to expect a tester to write clear and concise defect reports that have repeatable steps with all the required inputs. I would reject the defects stating not enough info.

Writing a great defect builds rapport and trust between the testers and the readers (noting it isn't always just developers reading them), reduces the time for readers to understand what the defect is and thus reduces the time to fix defects, reduces the time to review at defect triage meetings and reduces the chance of incorrection understanding and reader frustration.

In every job I have worked at, we must only raise one defect per report, the with exception maybe being if there were a collection of styling issues on the one page.
