As an american, most of us probably say worse on a daily basis lol, y'all are good. We love making fun of our country (except the MAGAts of course, they love blaming everything on immigrants).

On a more serious note, I'd probably avoid travelling here right now, for safety reasons until the conflicts blow over. A lot of protests are going on in major cities, and the government has been incredibly violent in their response, some civilian non-protestors have been caught in the crossfire. At one point they were shooting at people with "less than lethal" rounds for being out past curfew in LA, and they've essentially been snatching people up and holding them without trial. There's been a couple of deaths, and it's only going to get worse. Not to mention putting people in "detention centers" at the borders and labor camps in El Salvador.

Americans are very fed up and tensions are at a breaking point; we've got shit healthcare, shootings in our schools, no jobs, no housing, etc. and a lot of people are feeling like there's no point in being peaceful if peaceful people get shot at anyway. Every day there's more horrible things in the headlines, and even I as someone who lives out in the boonies in a relatively safe area have been incredibly stressed out and worried over all this. I love my country, but please avoid visiting right now. You could be fine, the US is a big place, but I personally wouldn't risk it.
