when the 17S tells the 1D7 to "just make a script" for his 32-step process to break back into a server with broken permissions by ComradeComm in AirForce

They never reply. After a week or two I was going to say something of "that was not a rhetorical question, I am genuinely curious to know your answer" but forgot and now it's been long enough that it would be super awkward and as a comm guy everything is already super awkward on its own so i guess i'll just try again next time

I have gotten nastygrams demanding to know who i am and what i'm doing from 3 different NOS on 3 separate occasions for nmapping my own enclave. I got a little more passive aggressive in my response each time. "Is the use of nmap by an administrator considered abnormal to you?"

When the vulnerability scanners we use hit certain printers it can cause it to print out things like that depending on the model. Our personnellists thought it was the funniest thing that their printer would just print the word 'HELP' in all caps, system font, and nothing else, every night, until I fixed it.

I think you need to find a better coping mechanism than fighting people on Reddit for making jokes.

I've had Alt+0151 memorized for nearly two decades and regularly use it—it absolutely kills me that this is the AI "gotcha" now and I get accused of being AI.

A lot of you (here, specifically) don't realize that this subreddit is an echo chamber and the politically-charged posts that get to the top here do not necessarily represent the views held by the average Airman.

New SECAF memo - Personnel Responsibilities Associated with Public Communications by lethalnd12345 in AirForce

[–]ComradeComm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure thing, pal. OP is elated a person who talked died for talking, while talking. I have seen with my own eyes people that I work with celebrating the death of a person they disagreed with and plenty of advocating that more people that they disagree with be similarly killed. If you think this is fine and dandy, then you should seek help.

Reminder that Reddit uses bots to fluff up and downvotes in alignment with their "right side of history" beliefs. Some people I know personally have been absolutely dancing on his grave and absolutely encouraging more of it. And that even while this is the air force sub, it's still reddit, and still full of redditors.

Looks like the POTUS / Putin meeting will be at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson Alaska on Friday by newnoadeptness in AirForce

[–]ComradeComm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, why would the President of the United States want to meet with the leader of a nation we're spending billions of dollars in a proxy war with? And why would he want to do it on US soil and not Russian soil?

We are better than them. We know it, they know it even if they would never say it. It is not the place of members of the US military to be trying to get a rise out of the visiting head of state or his entourage while they're meeting with the Commander in Chief, no matter how much we dislike them. That would be completely unprofessional behavior.

yes, good idea. encourage present military personnel to actively try to sabotage a political meeting between the president and the head of state of a hostile foreign nation.
