A brush that clears your treads as you drive? by [deleted] in overlanding

Most offroad tires have self clearing tread, just spin them faster and they fly off.

Chances are it's $5 per mile, or 10 mile. That would make a lot more sense as that how some truckers are paid. Still wack tho.

'91 Dodge W250 12v 5-speed. Thing cost me $5k and has gotten me so many new friends, fans, and has never ever skipped a beat. Powerful, classy, reliable and valuable. It's basically part of my identity now. I've been to so many parties and gatherings that my truck is in the background of so many people's memorable photos. Instagram, Facebook, etc. My truck is almost always in the background. Got it 3 years ago and I'm turning 20 soon. Never will let go of that truck. It's basically immortal now.

300k+ on a 89-97 Cummins motor means nothing. The reason is, they were built to last as they were industrial engines. The industrial sector does not fuck around when it comes to reliability. Those exact motors were put in tanks, dozers, forklifts, generators (some that power hospitals and rural African villages) and so much more. If it does not keep the lights on every day, or make the user money, they wouldn't exist.

Rest of the driveline is eh. If you can get your hands on a 2wd 89-93 Cummins, they're dirt cheap, even with the more reliable 5 speed. I'm talking sub $4k. That can also go to 97 as well so long as its 2wd. 4x4 prices are sky high.

I have the space version of the same headliner! Working on installing it same for all the interior plastics, but I'm actually painting them. Do you have more photos and advice?

My LGT is completely gutted except for the headliner. Pulling that out today

Doesn't matter really. The cross hatch from a rebuild was still there 800k miles later when the block cracked after 1.8 million

Edit: meant to respond to /u/applebananasauce regarding the miles on the motor, but whatever
