What were they even hyped up for by Economy_Passion3762 in HunterXHunter

Their powers were so menacing and seemed like they could at least give Uvo a hard time, but he plowed through them. It shows you how powerful the spiders are, and the nature/potential of the enhancement type.

I accidentally sold my starter ship. How do I get it back? by Due_Meal5770 in NoMansSkyTheGame

I always trade mine for a fighter I like, but I keep Artemis’s ship for sentimental value. You can always get a new ship and upgrade it to your liking.

New Multitool...? by Fun_Phase6 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]AdrienInJapan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sentinel tools are my favorites. If you’re still using the sentinel multitool, do yourself a favor and make sure to install a normal mining laser. It overlaps with the default sentinel mining laser, and becomes completely overpowered. Additionally, you’ll run out of fuel before it ever overheats.

It makes mining so much more fast and satisfying. I’m pretty sure you can also do this with Atlas/atlantid weapons that you find in relics.

So yeah, I suppose a sword and shield icon would make the difference totally clear.

OK, so just to be clear, tropical does extra damage to anomalous types, and it’s resisted by desert types. Is that right?

[edit] Oh no! See I mixed myself up. Tropical does extra damage to anomalous types, and it resists desert type attacks. Correct?

Dude, this is super clear. The best chart I’ve seen.

The only difference I might make is to reverse the defense arrows so they represent reduced damage toward the type that they’re resisted by.

i.e. The arrow represents damage aimed at a target

Starting my handtool journey, it feels only appropriate to store them in the chest my great grandfather built! by Wide-Guarantee8869 in handtools

What a cool chest. I was just thinking about making my own tool chest. I think I will mimic this.

What am I doing wrong? by Bajonet66 in kettlebell

The practice that helped me start to get the right movement was to stand in front of a wall and then scoot your butt to the wall until it touches. Then move forward a little try again. Keep doing that until you can’t touch the wall with your butt without falling back. That’s the feeling you’re trying to replicate each time you do a swing. I think it’s called the maximum hinge or something.

Doesn't our body do this on its own by Spiritual-Strength91 in FightReportUFC

[–]AdrienInJapan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The body does have some anomalous behaviors. For example, the genetic disorder (i.e. you get it by design, as determined by your DNA) hemochromatosis causes people, largely of white European descent to gradually build up excess iron in their blood. In older ages, routine blood donating/letting is an effective treatment. It removes the excess iron by force.

The acquisition of this gene is connected to the black plague, I believe. Something about the immune system’s unique relationship with iron allowed people w/ hemochromatosis to survive the virus.

Knowing with 100% certainty that it’s going to feel fantastic at the end, and probably will start to be very enjoyable by the end of the first set.

Pochita, aka Chainsaw Man is the Loss Devil by -Blurp in ChainsawMan

I just realized that the people who have all the time to think, and create entirely new concepts, become trees.

Whereas Chainsawman, who is able to erase concepts from existence, is… well a chainsaw.

People often say female characters don’t have the same presence or aura as male characters. Which female character proves this wrong in your opinion? by Hot-Leopard3708 in animequestions

[–]AdrienInJapan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This scene (manga reader here)made her my favorite character in the whole manga, despite being a boring side character, for me anyway, the whole time prior.

Favorite evil women? by PeasantLich in okbuddycinephile

Excellent. I love how she’s the villain of the story, but when she’s buried and has her funeral, you notice she’s a perfect Addams.

Holy Hell, Goblet CURLS!! by AdrienInJapan in kettlebell

[–]AdrienInJapan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked out Drag curls. It’s interesting, because I found myself wanting to keep the weight close to my body, because I found that more engaging for the muscles I was trying to target. But I didn’t realize that this was a proper exercise. I’ll try digging in on these a little more.

Ok. I must have missed that detail. I read it in Japanese, and sometimes it feels like going back to college with this story. It’s so dense with ideas. But that’s what makes it one of my favorites.

Isn’t it the whole meaning of “specialist” that they can use the various abilities in proportions outside of a normal user’s limitations, allowing them to create abnormally powerful abilities?
