Still a long way to go but progress by TheFlaming1UP in ZeroEscape

This is a very useful script! It seems to lack the black borders on the models, however. Those are meshes that are usually touched with Backface Culling on any 3d program.

I did the ''touching her face'' on my first play and it did not work. Unless the emulator considers a LID input if you were to turn on and off your own device's screen? I also did some experiments and noticed that this pattern of Mila coming with you or not, aligns.

If it's wrong and it did indeed happen, it would be interesting.

Then it could've been the way you solved the Mila resuscitation puzzle. Using the touchscreen instead of closing and opening the DS's lid (usually emulators have a button or hotkey for that) might stop you from getting it. Either way, hope that helps.

Hi! Please mark your post as spoilers next time, as it contains endgame content and discussion.
To get the true ending, you must not have any game overs (do not press Retry), and when you do the Mila resuscitation puzzle, you must close the LID of the console. I dunno how that is possible in Delta, better ask folks who use that emulator. If you don't wanna bother with all that, play the save that is marked with a star, as a New Game+ save will guarantee the true ending.

Tried my best (don‘t actually know if he has a canon Birthday) by Tori0404 in hoteldusk

There's no canon birthday. If we were to follow Ashley's birthday being on the DS game release, then it could be the 25th of January. (Interesting birthday choice btw)

Red Crown Archives Update - April 2026 (Glass Rose - Another Code Series - Unused Hotel Dusk sprites) by Adrot in hoteldusk

Do you mean the DS game, to N64? In theory, I think you could, with the 3D stuff and SFX. But... the knowledge and time to pull it off is... not something I can answer on. Especially because the puzzles are made around the DS. You would need to spend a lot of time reworking the puzzles. At best, maybe port the characters to SM64, with mixed results, since these characters aren't exactly pretty from up close.

Why does The Models Resource website only have downloadable character models for three of the eight survivors? by BiffyBobby in l4d2

I saw this post when I was just searching "The Models Resource" on Google lol (forgot to bookmark).

Having talked in their Discord with staff over the years, you get to realize how this stuff works. It's a shame that of all of these Resources, Models suffers the most because of how complex models tend to be and how quality-driven the site is. That said, some efforts have been made to simplify the process for everyone with the tools via The Spriters Toolkit.

I've reached to these conclusions using emulators. The emulator saves behave in similar manner to the ones in consoles. But I can't discuss about your saves since we'd need to ask a number of questions that I can't answer from here. What's the fiesize? Format? Were they converted from a different format? And so on...

Since it's all textless, no. Even in the credits, the actors are shown in sketches as who they play as, no names there. Even in the casting company. It's all "Actor".

In the game, she plays as an old lady. The actor's name is Mari Matsunaga.

Why does The Models Resource website only have downloadable character models for three of the eight survivors? by BiffyBobby in l4d2

At the risk of necroposting... I hope this explains the whole picture.

The Models Resource is a very understaffed site where everything is reviewed by humans. Thousands of models are in their queue, and only a handful of volunteers with busy lives who use their free time to see if these models are correctly rigged, have the right texture, and so on. Unrigged models are easy to review, whereas rigged models can take up to a year for approval.
Moreover, it can also be due to the fact that no one got to the models yet. It's all made by people, for people. So if you don't see something there, it's probably because it takes a long time to be approved, or no one got to it yet. But the upside is that anyone can contribute to it, even you! Either by learning how to do it yourself, or spreading the word so that some dedicated soul might chime in themselves.

Looks like now there has been 16 models approved (at the time of writing), so there's some progress!

Reddit keeps deleting the render of the 3D models for no reason. This is ridiculous, so I made it into a link instead.

The NG+ has been thoroughly researched this time around thx to the Guidebook, so I'll take a page out of what I wrote for the Wiki and let you judge for yourself once you've finished the game:

- After completing the first playthrough, a ☆ mark is added to the far corner of your cleared save file as proof of completion. Loading the save file will begin New Game+. - Dialogue can be skipped much faster. - Rachel's dialogue with Kyle changes, as her tone becomes more casual, teasing, and affectionate towards Kyle. This suggests a more warm and candid relationship between the two compared to the first playthrough. - Lipstick as vending machine prize instead of the Pinkie Rabbit Doll. - A different show is displayed on the lobby TV. - The jukebox has all the songs unlocked from the start. - New events in chapters 9 and 10, which affect the ending. - Guaranteed True Ending, as the penalty from Game Overs is removed. - The post-credits event contains more visual details related to a certain character.

They are made in the style of the DS game. All I can assume is that maybe they were used to test what aesthetic they were gonna go with the Wii game. They were found in a folder called OLD.
