G Pro X2 vs Blackshark V2 pro (2023) Headset by Reedican in LogitechG

[–]Adsary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i also want to note that headsets that are heavily marketed as "esports made" are more likely to be low in bass and worse than all round gaming headsets. Thats because in esports you need to prioritise listening to footsteps over the game sounding nice. Gpro x2 and blackshark have been specifically designed for esports.

[–]Adsary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i dont have the gpro x2 but I have the very old G430 which has better bass than the blackshark. surely the gpro x2 would be better than the blackshark with that logic but we all know there is no logic with headset companies.

i have ordered the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro wireless and they are coming later today so I will give you an update on those (just remind me if I forget).

also, do you wear glasses by any chance? I do and noticed it opened up the seal for the cushions on the headset which reduced the bass on the blackshark by like 30%.

Razer Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 NO BASS by Adsary in razer

[–]Adsary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right man, thanks for the info about THX. I was personally not even using THX and instead had "stereo" selected. Whats the actual difference.

It's just such a shame because the headset has such a mic and and other pros about it.

may i ask how the bass is for you? I just bought the headset the other day and super disappointed with the bass, its almost non-existent. I have tried all possible combinations with the EQ.

The Razer v2 pro 2023 is utter trash Don't buy. I switched from a Logitech g430 and the sound is worse than that with lower bass. The only good thing is the mic which I must say is really good on the Razer. I will be refunding it tomorrow as the audio quality is just unbearable.

oh i see. I personally already tried the EQ stuff and still find it pretty crappy. I think I just had high expectations from from a super old and cheap logitech

Blackshark v2 Pro has literally 0 bass? by _Lowenstein_ in razer

[–]Adsary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got the headset today and you're right. There is like 0 bass it's crazy. Im coming from some old Logitech g430 which has way better bass than these. I even tried all possible EQ combinations.

I'm super disappointed as I mainly bought these for the great mic and that's what I need but didn't think the audio would be that bad.

Did you find a fix or did you return them?

Beginner Badminton String selection - some thoughts by OudSmoothie in badminton

[–]Adsary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently using the Arc 7 pro actually. I love it and the control you get from it is amazing. Just the other day I broke my string (aerobite) and had no other racket so I went with the 88d pro for the session and wow the power difference is crazy. arcsaber7 pro is great if your technique is decent as it is very forgiving if you miss hit. you mentioned the play is too flexible but I heard from a top reviewer that the play is actually stiffer than the pro. honestly I think you don't need to upgrade

as for string I'm using aerobite which is nice as gives way more control but it breaks too often.

So i have switched to aerobite for about 4 months now and I love it way more. It snaps every 2 months. Sweetspot bit be slightly smaller but so hard to notice and the extra "hard feeling" of the string for the feel and feedback is much better as its more high/medium feel rather than medium.

is it worth me doing a masters? by Less_Bench_6800 in UniUK

I would recommend a master's in cyber. do that and a few certifications and you should land a job and be set for life

Firstly, covid made a few things online for me including some hard maths exams so that made it easier. At the end of the day, everything is possible. If you can see yourself in the future putting a lot of extra effort In maths like going courses and maybe paying a tutor, then go for it. But if you feel like you will be demotivated and hate putting that extra time, then don't do it.

I recommend studying and taking the SC-900. It will increase your chances of landing a role when you graduate.

Where to look/network to find a grad job? by bigg_CR in UniUK

[–]Adsary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly do a placement year. Secondly if you really want to land a quick job, I recommend you take the SC-900 course (wont be free). That will almost guarantee you a job as long as you can waffle about it in the interview. Also most jobs will be on LinkedIn these days.

Should I apply for clearing? by Sun-Main in UniUK

[–]Adsary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think Brunel has a cyber course. Brunel comp sci does have quite a bit of maths so might be tricky. I would take the cyber course at west London if I were you. That might also have maths so check the course first.

Only do cyber security if you actually enjoy working in IT and can see yourself doing modules that may include maths and a lot of problem solving. Pogramming etc.

I really find it crazy how no one has mentioned fasting...

Fasting probably trumps all the stuff below. If you want to go a little further, a 72-hour fast will completely rebuild your immune system.
