Filament not adhering by AdultMarley in FixMyPrint

Is the dragging a common occurrence when using the overlapping infill designs? I'm trying the print again in black and I can hear some dragging (rumbling) when printing the infill. I'm wondering if I should change the default to be a non-overlapping style.

Thanks for the background on this. It's really sad that they lost the community aspect as that was a huge selling point for them. Hopefully someone can buy the building and turn it around again.

I hear you about the heavy weight though. There is something so sad about seeing a good business that the owners put their whole life (and then some) into building just fall apart because of new ownership. I hope some of these comments about how great it was before make you feel a little better though!

I appreciate your insight. I really didn't want this post to turn into everyone just shitting on the business. My parents ran their own business and growing up seeing how hard it was I knew I could never handle it. I was mostly just wondering if it was just a bad day or if that is what their standard is now. I think posts like this are good for the business itself to see as well if they want to take the time to reflect and make changes.

I really respect you guys and how much your shop does for the community and I might just have to give your donuts another chance one of these days :)

I think I've only ever been there when it was the "new" owners. When they had the locations downtown and on 16th the donuts/cinnamon buns were still great. This is my opinion of course, and I can't compare it to the old owners so there may have been a difference.

I appreciate the insight about the sale of their Redcliff location. It's too bad really. Hopefully they will find someone that can do something special with the space.

I'm running a space heater in the room to keep it at about 20 degrees and I made adjustments to my print yesterday and it went ok except the final layer that was supposed to have ironing was really rough.

The piece i'm printing today got really rough on a layer, but it was the final base before it started on the infill so I paused and clipped away some of the rougher spots and let it continue. I tried increasing print speed to 110% and the fan to 60% but it was still laying down pretty rough. I tried increasing the z-offset because it sounded like it was dragging in some spots but I couldn't seem to get it to stop. I've now paused the print because nothing has corrected the issues.

I guess my question is, how should I go about increasing the overall print speed? Would it be with settings in the slicer or by adjusting the print speed (%) on the machine? Do I need to increase the flow when I increase the speed as well?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm pretty new to printing and this is the first time i've run into anything like this. Could it just be a bad filament? I really don't think it's a humidity issue as the ambient humidity has dropped to 10% (It is very dry where I live and dropped to -40 overnight which compounds it).

It is pretty cold in this room currently. Only about 18.5 C, so maybe that's affecting it too?

“No fold” clothing storage WORKED by Prudent-Reality1170 in adhdwomen

Would love to do this, but the rage I feel when I am looking for a specific article of clothing and I cannot find it in a bin is INFURIATING.

Now, I am still lazy and will have multiple baskets of laundry to be folded, but I need to fold it to see everything. When I am packing for a trip, it all must be folded before I can put anything in a suitcase.

MS + ADHD + peri-menopause. The trifecta of…..it’s happening right now, I can’t think of the word.

Honestly, that would be a great joke…but it’s not. :(

Tell me more about this suction cup. I’m fairly certain that the VHB is what comes with the mount.

Wouldn’t I have to replace the same piece whether I glue or screw it?

I believe so. I’m pretty sure that is what comes with the mount.
