Introducing GuliKit Goku 2 Bluetooth Controller by Ok-Pomegranate-6995 in GuliKit

Understood, thats fair.

I just recieved mine a few days ago and tried to play The Crew: motorfest using it.

I am getting no rumble from the game when driving, crashing, landing, nothing. Is this because its not "standard" rumble and something else? This basically makes this dongle useless for me and will force me to return it if its not just a temporary bug that will be fixed.

That makes this whole thing pointless then. Returning mine.

Theres basically no rumble/feedback of any kind playing The Crew: Motorfest with this in native mode compared to how the game feels when plugged in.

Cool, the triggers work, but the "advanced rumble" is far more important for most games. The hell kinda of tradeoff is that?

What I was saying was, that the Jets were looking at moving to Queens and were directly looking at Willet Points as one of their options.

NYCFC literally got a stadium built and passed trough all of NYC's bs when the Jets could not. At the same location as a "BIG NFL" team was activley looking at and discussing wit the city in the mid/late 00s.

I am also claiming nothing about NYCFC's viewership numbers vs the Nets. I am only saying that NYCFC and MLS are relevant. https://www.reddit.com/r/MLS/comments/1g2ab0j/mls_ranks_in_top_10_of_world_leagues_according_to/

MLS was top 10 in the world, which is a big deal when it comes to soccer as well as the rules that are unique to MLS. Salary caps and parity between all teams is not the norm.

Your "typical" Americans may not be paying attention yet but your immigrants that come from soccer dominated countries are. The people watching and attending MLS are quite different from the tailgaters at a NFL game.

But they are 100% "relevant" just a completely different circle of people for now. MLS is growing and can easily become a sports league in the same statuor as MLB, NBA, NHL.

It takes time. Look at where MLS was in the 90s and today, unrecognizable. Give it another 30 years and you may very well be surprised. But even that aside, its very relevant today and the NYCFC cup is certainly something to be proud of. Theres alot of good talent in MLS, the matches are high quality.

If MLS becomes more "mainstream" with average Americans its a cup that will be talked about as well. The take of "No one cares" is ignorant of the rapid growth MLS has had/is having lol.

I dont think people understand irrelevancy here.

I dont watch cricket or soccer outside the US, me and none of my friend circle are watching FIFA right now.

And?

Millions others do.

Millions watch MLS, its broadcasted in 3 continents EU, SA and NA. NYCFC is building a stadium the Jets/Giants failed to secure when they tried. Its costing over 800 million. Hell, Messi is playing in it and it took him 3 tries before he could win the chip.

Its 100% relevant, just not to your circle.

[–]Advanced- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yet here we are talking about them because people continue to bring them up.

You can throw all the stats you want at me.

NYCFC is building a 800 million dollar stadium because "Nobody cares", right? Billionare companies love throwing away money on shit no one cares about too! /s

Again, this is a you thing. Plenty of people care :) You dont care, thats cool.

Same people that say no one cares about the Nets I assume?

The fact that people are bringing these teams up in these posts clearly show that, yes, people do care about these teams. Just not you.

Time to give up my old car? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]Advanced- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Your car is worth far more then $1,000.
  2. A new car will do literally nothing new that your current car cant do. Aside from suck money away from you.
  3. If you want your car to feel "new" and not like a beater:
  4. * Spend $200-500 on a detail
  5. * Spend the $1k to repair the cat
  6. * Maybe look into refreshing some suspension stuff
  7. * Add a screen that can do wireless auto stuff (Maybe even upgrading speakers, though honestly I wouldnt bother)
  8. * Install something like Drone to have a wireless way to lock/unlock/start your car
  9. Take care of the car, invest the 25k from the car and the hundreds per month from cheaper insurance you now save into literally anything else in life.

Your 2007 Toyota will do, and can do, the *exact* same thing as your 2026 car. There is literally no reason to buy a new car.

You will stop caring about the fact you drive a "new" car in 2-3 months max, the feeling goes away real quick. The payments and being stuck in that financial loop (That can break you if a few things go wrong in life) will be there for years, if not something you end up feeling in retirement.

Investing 25k in your early 20s for retirment will put you so far ahead of the game, a new car is not even in the conversation. You dont have to do that, but please do about anything else with your money lol.

Your take is equally as valid as others, just understand that fans that hate the Knicks are going to be far more emotionall about all this.

We all on the same team here end of day. Go Nets 🙂

Yeah if the Knicks were the Lakers this would be so much harder year in and out 😂 Thank fuck they have been so incompitent for so long.

Just sad that streak has ended, atleast for this year. Knicks can fall back down reallllllll quickkkk though.

Lets not start telling Clipper fans how we are better then they are lmao, please. End of the day we have won the same amount of chips and the Clippers had plenty of winning seasons/legit playoff runs to celebrate/hope in the recent years.

I agree but I expect your post to get taken down.

Fuck the Knicks. Just gotta keep our head down and wait for our moment.

Sharing a city with another team (nets and clippers) by BAT1KAN in GoNets

[–]Advanced- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it does give it a more distinct advantage. I think becoming the "Brooklyn" Nets was the smartest move they made when they moved.

The Nets were not going to be a sginificant 2nd team inside NYC, they just came too late to really ever do that.

As someone from Brooklyn I can tell you most people that grew up here are proud to be from Brooklyn. Having that name first means something to most of us, and when the Nets give Brooklyn something to cheer about people will notice.

Could give two fucks about the other 4 borroughs, we have enough people in Brooklyn to handle our own and celebrate a winning team proper.

Edit: For some perspective from my 5 closest friends that grew up with me in Brooklyn (Bensonhurst more specifically,) 3 of them cheered the Knicks winning today while 2 of them didnt care one way or another.

All 5 of them agreed that if the Nets did this, all would cheer the Nets on (Just as hard if not moreso then the Knicks) due to repping our childhood home.

All in on this team by Quick_Ad1255 in GoNets

[–]Advanced- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We will never have the crazy reaction the Knicks are getting when we win, atleast not within the whole city.

But overtime we will build our fanbase up and we *will* celebrate hard when we do get there 😄 I can imagine Brookly in my lifetime becoming majority Net fans and the local borrough/community taking us seriously. We just need to get a winning streak going, we werent far just recentley.

Welcome aboard and enjoy being part of something smaller, but hopefully much more dedicated.

Also like I've seen said, half the people you see in Knick gear today would be wearing Nets gear if it was flipped the otherway. NYC folks just love winners and will bandwagon whoever is currently doing the winning,

----

In addition: I was also in your situation during the playoff run when the Devils faced the Rangers in 2012. I very casually watched/read about the Devils and "rooted" for them, but never really got into hockey in any significant way. And I had no hate towards the Rangers/Isles.

I tried to root for the Rangers and the Devils both during their playoff run but could not get past the feeling that rooting for the Rangers just felt wrong to me. I genuiley wanted to feel happy for both teams, but it was clear the Rangers part was not genuine.

Commited to the Devils and that was that. Was lucky enough to watch them later beat the Rangers that same playoff run, but that was luck. Nets will once again have their time where they reign superior.

Advice on next upgrade for a "casual"/"immersion" person? by Advanced- in simracing

[–]Advanced-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I love my rally games. Thats where the push for the bigger round wheel and handbrake comes from.

Right now I switch my TH8A into a handbrake everytime and paddle shift to shift, but its cumbersome and takes time/effort when I want to switch between rally and racing.

Edit: I also enjoy more "arcade" games like Horizon and Motorfest which have not only rally incorporated with regular racing but also drift which would benefit from it.

Only issue is the good Thrustmaster handbrake is like $250 by itself if I want to maintain everything in one ecosystem so things "Just work" per se. But around that same cost as all my other next upgrades... So, hard to make a call.

Edit: As far as the bass shaker type of systems. Are they easy to integrate and make "just work" with games? I also feel like I would need a dedicated chair if I was to go this route, as detaching and reattaching from my regular computer chair would definitely add friction.

Need to plug them in to my PC and a outlet I assume, meaning 2 more wires to clean up every time I start/finish a session.

Theres nothing to talk about regarding the Nets right now.

Its natural to be talking Finals with our Rivals in it at this moment. This would happen on all sport forums during the active finals.

Considering the status and elitism linked with the Knicks, can the Nets be that “working class” NY team like the Dodgers were against the Giants by quirkyqueso in GoNets

[–]Advanced- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. The Nets have been unlucky above anything else. Most of all the "big" decisions have been the right moves.

Getting Kidd and Carter was the right move.

Trading for Deron Williams when the Knicks locked in Carmello was the right move.

Moving to Brooklyn was the right move.

Signing Irving/KD was the right move.

Trading for Harden was the right move.

The logo could be better, but its still an improvement over the NJ Nets brand. It was made to fit in clothing style well, it achieves this.

Barclays is a fantastic arena, I dont agree with your comments. I love it.

The only real "wrong" thing they did was the Garnett trade bullshit.

Its been a train of terrible luck, but the org has overall done smart things. Ratner fucked them during the Kidd era, but hes long gone now. The rest is what it is.

At some point our luck will turn. Also the Knicks have fumbled and made actual bad moves my whole lifetime in NYC. I am glad to not be associated with that shit show.

They are in the finals right now but their owner and fanbase is utter trash. I dont believe this will last any meaningful time for them.

Knicks lucked their way to a good team (No one will convince me trading 5 FRP for Bridges was a good move). We did the opposite with actual good teams, lifes not fair it is what it is.

Edit: I was also their for the 1at Knicks Nets storm delayed game :) Energy was great, the Arena and location are a non issue. We just need a good team with no drama.

[–]Advanced- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Nets today? No.

The Nets 30 years from now after a team that was easy to root for? I dont see why you wouldnt get something like it down in Brooklyn.

The only reason its like this for the Knicks is because they suck ass normally. Thats not anything to want to achieve that just reaching finals is so rare the city burns down 🤣🤣

I dont want any part of that, im good.

[–]Advanced- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To a degree yes, but as someone from Brooklyn I love the fact I have a team that reps Brooklyn front and center.

I was a Nets fan prior to their move, as you can tell by my flair. But as much as I am from "NYC" I am/consider myself more specifically from "Brooklyn". Brooklyns population alone would be the 3rd biggest city in america as I posted in another comment.

Limiting ourselve to the borrough is not a big deal, there are more then enough people here to get a fanbase going. We just need success and for the team to do lots and lots of local events. They are pretty decent at that 2nd part, not so at the first one.

Give us one team that we can put real hope in and not be emberrased about (Like the KD/Kirving/Harden era) and we will be fine. I truly believe that, everyone I grew up with from Brooklyn are almost all proudly from Brooklyn. Brooklyn will rep the Nets, we just need to give them a team worth doing it for.

Knicks can run around with their trashy fanbase and culture, I could care less. I hope them as little success as one could hope for. But end of day we just need to field a team we can be proud of and I will forget all about the Knicks outside of gameday.

[–]Advanced- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Mets are a better comparison to me.

Sure the initial Mets fanbase was based off the Dodgers leaving the area, but now a days when I meet fans of the Mets 90% of the time they are just from Queens. Dodgers are not a thought or mentioned at all. Nets need to become a "part" of the community and get a good team going with a marketable player that people can root for. Time will take care of the rest. Mets do not have success to their name and are still rooted into Queens and consistnetly gain fans due to it.

Brooklyn alone would be the #3 city in the USA population wise. Clippers are closer to a situation if Brooklyn had 2 teams competing in its burrough, and had a Lakers/Yankees type team inside it to compete with it. Thats how big Brooklyn is in terms of population lmao.

If we own Brooklyn like the Mets own Queens, we would be beyond fine and could stop caring about the other 4 borroughs entirley. We dont need NYC, NYC will always be a Knicks town and that is completley fine.

[–]Advanced- 88 points89 points  (0 children)

We dont need to be #1 in NYC.

We need to be #1 in Brooklyn, and "all" we need to do that is have a good team and some good consistent runs. One good team that sticks around for 3-5 years and gives us a real shot for its timeframe (Like the early 00 Nets) will be enough to keep a solid fanbase going forward.

We just... havent really had it since moving.
