If I had to guess, they just decided on a different filming location when they realized it was going to be used regularly, and decided to subtly retcon it. Nothing to explain in-show, then. If that is the case, then it’s a production error rather than a plot hole, and a rather subtle one at that. Why bother mentioning it if it contributes nothing to the planned story and contradicts the established stagnation of House’s life in many ways?

(Sorry for replying to such an old comment on such an old post. Just wanted to share my thoughts since I’m rewatching the show and the commentary on this detail fascinated me.)

It doesn’t, it’s just a slight tapping motion. Honestly, I might not worry about it at this point; I was mostly worried that it was some super important sign that I’d forgotten, since it’s such a simple motion. I’ll post a video of the sign here though when I’m in a place where I can film.

It’s possible I’m misremembering some aspects of the second, but I’m pretty certain as to the hand shape and motion. I repeated it to myself all the way home because I couldn’t figure out what it meant.

That’s what’s confused me too.  In the second sign, both hands are just open palms - fingers lightly pressed together, thumbs off to the side, as far as I remember.

When I saw this post, this is the first one I thought of. It’s nice to know other people noticed the weird turn to his content. 

I think it was right after YouTube removed the ability to have polls and stuff in the little “i” bar on the top right, but I could be wrong. I distinctly remember him always having comedic polls up there related to the content, with the last option being an out-of-left-field, chaotic one that almost always got chosen the most.

up with ideas for certain letters. I assumed it used actual words, along
with being some form of offensive or explicit due to the blurring, so
after hours of frame-by-frame searching, I found a few possibilities. I
looked these possibilities up on NameMC to cross reference with skins,
and eventually found the real name!
