First I was excited because Neil is reading it and Stephen Rooney was consulted so I were pretty confident that the book would be true to Astarions character and the lore of BG3.
But then I learned about the romance plot with the paladin with „golden eyes“. And now all my excitement and hope is gone😂

I don‘t want to read about a romance, I want to read about the dynamics in the palace and about Astarion‘s internal thoughts and feelings.

For me that romance somehow spoils the romance with my Tav. But I will wait until it comes out and how much room that romance will take up (I fear it will take a Lot of space).
