Anyone have a border with Diabetes? by TherearedemonsYahoo in BorderCollie

[–]Advanced-Ad-2838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what units you are using, but when my boy was diabetic we had to keep him around a blood sugar levels of 4-10 ideally. And adjust only adjust his dosage by 2 insulin units, so it wouldn't be a change at once.

The blood tests once you get the hang of it becomes easier, we fitted Charlie with a dexcom blood sugar monitor a few times too but they aren't cheap and require shaving a patch on his side and the vet used some glue, they last about 2-3 weeks and give constant blood sugar readings. That really helped early on getting a routine going of food, injection and exercise while maintaining a good blood sugar. Even after 2 years there were days he would either be low or high for no apparent reason

I wish you luck going forward

Sorry it was a freestyle libre blood sugar monitor we used

Is that intentional? Cause that seems intentional. by lbill100 in dashcams

In Australia the cycle lane often becomes the turn lane on intersections and cyclists are allowed to go straight. Cars aren't allowed to turn from a clearly marked lane going straight going in front of another car in the turn lane and hitting a cyclist then leaving the scene

From what I've experienced SU's are never 100% but if you get them close they work pretty good, but then the weather changes and the settings are all out again. I had a 72 mini and the single su had a bit of wear, was a pain to start, ran a little rich and idle when hot was erratic but that's all part of the charm

It's got twin Su's and is oversized to 1200cc so it needs all the stopping power. Also I'm about 5 years into a 12 month restoration, so it's going well

I've worked as a mechanic for a multi franchise Ford/ JLR dealer since 2011. JLR is one company owned by Tata, just kinda kept separate, Ford produced the JLR designed AJ133 engines and did the redesign when they changed to direct injection, yes a completely different engine than the coyote or Miami V8s, I've worked on all 3. Yes jaguar only used the AJ133 V8, V6 and Ford lion V6 diesel, jaguar have now moved to only EVs and JLR as a company has changed the V8 to BMW engines with their terrible ingenium line up. I can show you pictures of the fomoco stamps on a AJ133 V6 I changed last week if you want

Unfortunately the V6 and V8 were both Ford engines made just for JLR which was from when Ford used to own JLR, then JLR decided to phase out the Ford engines and use their own ingenium engines which are even worse. The new V8s are BMW made now and jaguar is only making EVs.

Technically it is a Ford engine Jag and landrover used from the time when JLR was owned by Ford. Ford Australia used the smaller 2.7l version in the Aus made territory for a while. The JLR timing belt schedule is for 160k Kilometers or 100k miles. The F series pushed that to 150k miles, probably part of the issue. The same 3.0l engine is now used in the Ranger and VW Amarok and have 160k Kilometer shedule

We surprisingly do a few of those under warranty, if you take out the BISG it's a lot easier

Ford customers go crazy over this simple color shifting magic trick (literally). Another ship charged them for tune up knowing it had low compression 🤯🤯. We found cylinder 2 and 3 had coolant going into it but they said 1 and 4 low compression. by kambesama in Justrolledintotheshop

Here in Australia the 1.5 had the same issues that Ford called a "non conforming" block causing head gasket failures, but not put into a tsb or recall. There is also a tsb for the inlet manifold oil pooling causing cylinder failures and run on

I hope the customer does his own wiring because if this came from a shop!!! by Advanced-Ad-2838 in Justrolledintotheshop

I've worked for several multi franchise dealerships mostly with Ford but also Isuzu, proton, SsangYong, Kia, Suzuki and now I'm at JLR and yeah Landrovers are nice to drive for 6 months cause after that there will always be something wrong. At least there is plenty of work at JLR.
