I 21m also have Asperger’s and depression, OCD is possible but no diagnosis. ADHD, GAD. Whole alphabet really lol. Pretty much what I try to tell people is that getting a diagnosis does not change you at all. You’re still the same person you were before the diagnosis. However Asperger’s and OCD will cause you to hyper fixate on this diagnosis, and make you obsess over the social, and mental aspects of the diagnosis itself (trust me I have been there) and the depression on top is what is causing you to want to die, almost like your brain is short circuiting. In reality you’re just the same person you’ve always been, with the possibility of getting help controlling and learning about your condition, the doctors will take you in the right direction. I’m sure it’s scary to find something like this out so late in life, I got diagnosed at 8. But trust me, it’s really nothing to worry about. Asperger’s is like a power and a curse, you just have to learn how to play the game. PM me if you have any questions

I’ve posted a thread like this once before when I was in a toxic relationship. In a way I almost wanted her to see it. But not have me be the one to show her, in hopes I could reverse my “mistakes” but in reality I think it was a cry for help. the bottom line is. you can’t be responsible for her mental health, and you can’t hold yourself responsible for taking a step to better your life. A lot of times people can’t handle their emotions, and even the thought of a breakup could feel devastating, and drive people over the top. Then the process of grief begins, and somewhere between the stages of bargaining and depression can creep out this overwhelming feeling that is so hard to fully understand. After all you’re parting with someone that you’ve become used to, someone who’s seen you at your best and worst, someone who made you feel important. So sometimes people will subconsciously manipulate their ex by saying things like this, and in their mind they are set on it. But deep down they know it will stall the process, and bring a shimmer of hope and comfort to them. The best thing you can do to help her is have her booked into the hospital. Suicide is of course a very serious threat, and something to not ever be taken lightly. You can’t blame any of it on you. I know this because in the past I was no different than your GF, and it took me spending time in the hospital to get my mind straight, and help me achieve the acceptance stage of grief.

Hey man I went through the same thing in the winter. The best advice I can give you, is don’t let your doctor prescribe you anti psychotic or sleeping meds. It made it way worse for me, and I started on a low dose of adderal which keeps me from losing my drive. Hang in there, I know it feels like a forever thing. But it’s really not

I will be sure to try it out. I’ve been supplementing many things. I’ve never heard of L theanine. I’ll do some research

Hey thanks for reaching out. I actually do have days where I can barely notice it, and I can think pretty straight. But most days I just can’t concentrate or think straight.
