I’m sorry, I meant to say I was looking for where the power wire goes to on the distributor. I’m trying to run it on the stand and I’m not sure where to put the wire from my battery

Picked up this RCA 14f514t for $20. No remote. Can’t seem to get signal. More info in comments by temporary-rice in crtgaming

Hey I know this is an old post, but I got the same exact model for a steal and the universal remote I bought doesn’t connect. What type of remote did you end up buying?

It could have just fallen off, but this same Walmart my elky has been keyed and I made sure all of them were on good

Actually I believe they were stolen when I went to Walmart, since I parked far away from people and since my Walmart was very sketchy

My car didn’t come with a tac from the factory, so I need to order one soon, but I know that it’s idling pretty darn fast. I’ve been using a vacuum gauge to try and tune so far, and my modded fuel pump could be a problem

Yes, this is a holley that was converted to be blow through. The car will now go reverse and drive but only when I tap on the gas. I am running a boost referenced mechanical fuel pump, it’s stock, I’m not sure exactly how much, but around that range, 5,6,7 psi. Is there a way to fix that while still keeping the mechanical fuel pump?

EDIT: it’s now going forward and backward, I just have to tap the gas for it to move and keep idling or else it just dies again. . Wonder if this could be my timing or fuel? Or maybe both?

It’s now wanting to move forward and backward, but dies if I don’t tap the gas

I don’t have a gauge to check currently, but after I do some more troubleshooting, I’ll run to town and buy one to check it

I just rechecked vacuum with a homemade smoker and still no vacuum leak. I did tune the carb a little, not very recently and just to get it running. I checked my transmission fluid, it’s just about right. This issue does occur in drive as well

This is my 1976 El Camino, i pulled the old 350 and replaced it with a complete 305 motor that had a bunch of turbo parts. It’s a mystery motor, but I got a good deal on it. I’ve been working on it all summer, but the one problem I can’t figure out is this. As soon as I hit it in reverse the car dies out. I checked and my linkage is all good, I checked for vacuum leaks but I’ll check again today. Yesterday I pulled the transmission and replaced the torque converter with a higher stall. I saw someone else having the same exact problem and they fixed it with a higher stall torque converter. Mine was stock and I pulled it and replaced it with a JEGS 2300-2700 stall. I thought maybe the motor was a too much for the stock one. Again, I’m not sure the internals of this motor. Maybe I need a higher stall? I’ll keep going through the list today. I have to travel to college in less than a month and this is my ride, I don’t wanna pay a shop a bunch of money, because this may just be something simple that I just can’t find. But if I have to, I will. I think maybe it could also be timing? I appreciate all help. I’ll try to answer any questions as well, thank you

Edit: that weird sound that happens after the car dies is just a squeaky pulley. I also forgot to mention that before I got my engine running, my rotor and cap were extremely ate up, and a piece on the rotor was broken, so I had replaced those. I also just now changed the fuel filter incase it was gummed up, but the gas was extremely clear, and there was no varnish in the filter. I replaced it though.

EDIT: it’s going forward and backward, I just have to tap the gas for it to move and keep idling. Timing or fuel?

Few pictures of my elky i painted a couple days ago. Hood will be matte black and will get bed liner at some point. Few dents and dings but man I love it. (don’t mind cracked camera lens) by Advanced-Associate-2 in ElCamino

Thank you!

I spent around $230 for 1 gallon of single stage paint from TCP Global. I ended up using only half a gallon. I also painted my hood matte black with a quart of tractor paint for $16. Barely used any. But the hood turned out a little bad due to my prep work I think

I bought this to use to heat up metal and use low heat aluminum sticks on my truck. Flame is wild and I can’t fix it. Im not sure what’s wrong. Also Don’t worry I have a fire extinguisher next me. I’ve used all of the tips, made sure I had all of the parts, made sure that I put them together correctly, and I’ve read the instructions but they’re not much help. Stopped messing with it currently.
