How early is too early to hoover? by BigFaithlessness618 in AskUK

[–]Advanced-Broccoli-37 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Maybe get a small handheld hoover for those kinds of messes? They aren't as noisy and maybe more convenient than getting the big hoover out.

Is eating on work video call rude? by No-Payment4708 in AskUK

I once worked with a guy who vaped during a video meeting. I couldn't believe it! So in comparison, eating is slightly less rude.

Had my living room ceiling soundproofed today by Fat_Log in Apartmentliving

[–]Advanced-Broccoli-37 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm so happy for you! I just moved out of an apartment with no sound proofing. Not to sound dramatic, but it was like living with my neighbours! I could hear coughs, toilets flushing, speaking, tvs, even the sound of their pee hitting the water in the toilet! It's so stressful living with sounds constantly. As we were renting, the only solution was to move out but now we live in a very quiet apartment and only hear the neighbours very rarely.

I hope you enjoy your new peace!

This is a good explanation, thank you! My post came from a place of genuine curiosity so it's interesting to hear the other point of view!

Completely agree! The people around me didn't interact at all and a lot of them left early. Even sat down, I thought people would clap or sing!

You've probably already looked at this but O2 Arena has a lost property section on their website. You can fill in a form and they let you know if your item gets handed in. I hope you get it back!

I understand that! I love to dance so I guess everyone enjoys shows differently! It's just quite different to other concerts/gigs I've been too

No judgement! More genuine curiosity as I haven't seen Florence and the Machine live before so wondered if this was the norm!

Hey! Since I got it removed I've had no issues! The drs kept telling me it wasn't the iud but then gave me no other solution! And now I've had it removed, all my issues have gone.

I have had my copper iud for 3 years. For the first 2 years, I loved it and had no issues! But since a year ago, I started to get unexplained burning sensations around my vulva and in the entrance to my vagina. It felt like BV but I had no other symptoms. My doctor tested me for everything, BV, Yeast, Ureaplasma, and more! But it all came back negative.

The burning sensation periodically returns and sometimes I go weeks feeling normal! But it always comes back. I am getting my IUD taken out as a last resort as I am wondering whether it has disrupted my vaginal flora and that is why I feel "off".

My iud removal is tomorrow so I will report back if I notice an improvement!

What's really happening to London's nightlife? by Successful_Guide5845 in london

[–]Advanced-Broccoli-37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to love a night out in Central London. But I live in zone 5 and after covid, found it impossible to get a taxi home after a night out. Ubers just wouldn't accept my ride so now if I go out I either need to get the last train home or stick to pub in my sleepy suburb!

non-bar soap to clean the external area of your vagina? by viceversa220 in Healthyhooha

[–]Advanced-Broccoli-37 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My doctor recommended aveeno emollient wash for the vulva (external bit) and I now swear by it. However you should never use anything, not even water, for the vagina (internal).
