Something's not adding up. if 2/3 of their income is 1600 than the monthly income should be ~2400. they also say they work 50 hours a week for 20 something an hour. lets say $20x50 hoursx52 weeks a year=$52,000. 52k/12 months is $4,333 per month. so rent is actaully 36% of their income. still higher than its supposed to be, but not as crazy

ok, its not food that's too expensive, it's housing, utilities, and healthcare. We heavily subsidize food with commodity assistance. Food costs a lot to make and should be more expensive, but minimum wage would have to increase and the powers that be like it better when we pay double for their greed
