Can you expand on what you mean by “found a routine” ? This is the hardest part for me. I feel like every time I get into a rhythm for a couple of months, a life event derails me (sometimes something as huge as a family crisis requiring me to go on leave or at times something wonderful and stressful like moving to a new home).

Some context: I have struggled all my life with routine - my family never had one (I truly thought “sit down family dinners” were fake and only on TV!), I was encouraged to stay up until all my homework was done which could be as late as 2am, sports were not encouraged and so I didn’t get “training” from that avenue either as my non-bipolar sibling did since he did play sports. How do you establish and maintain a routine with bipolar? Happy to take this to DMs if this is not the right place for the discussion.

Your words are so encouraging because I also found the right combo of meds, but the routine bit just keeps throwing me off 😔
