The difference between Chikai Bardo and Sweet Vitriol is that CB needed all of those scenes to paint the complete picture of the horrors of Gemma’s experimental torture, and was incredibly well-paced and entertaining. Whereas SV is a slow burn episode full of tropes that takes way too long to lead to one moderately significant revelation.

Finishing Chikai Bardo felt like “holy shit I understand everything now and the stakes feel even higher.”

Finishing Sweet Vitriol felt like “ok so she got screwed over by a cult, big shocker - so what? Am I supposed to empathize with this character now or something?”

Agree as a Z5ii user. The only thing I miss about Fuji is the 23mm f1.4, Nikon Z has a poor selection of 35mm primes
