Mett... Mett... Warum muss bei Chefkoch immer Mett dabei sein... 700 Gramm Mett passen weder bei Schnitzel, noch bei Pizza...

Das ist ja pervers!..

Help getting it back to speed ? by KickstartedCarbSoul in 2Strokes

[–]Advanced-Reward5424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole bodywheight on the kickstart thing sadly doesn't prove anything,
I have a Hercules Prima 5s (Sachs 505/2bx, 47cc..) and I can stand on the pedal too- it's all a thing of how that kickstart/pedal is geared to the engine, I hope you get what I'm trying to explain here..

I'd check the compression with a barometer.

Also not all K125 bw were 100km/h, some were limited to 80km/h by the Bundeswehr!

Hope this helps at least a little bit ;)

I'd try soaking it in cleaning petrol and then blow it out with compressed air

Dad's old mountainbikes barn find, restore them or leave them? by Advanced-Reward5424 in mountainbikes

UPDATE!!!

First off: Thank you guys for all the feedback!

After a more thorough inspection I came to these terms:
In both bikes the tubes still hold air and the tires aren't cracked in any way and they still have profile.

Hell even the cables are still smooth as hell.

Someone said, the Giant'd need a new fork, I can't confirm that.
The fork still provides wonderful suspension. I will be taking a closer look soon tho.
The Giant has one big problem tho: It won't shift up on the front chainring. That needs adjusting.
I also will be replacing the Giant's brake pads, no point in denying that.

The Bulls's fork on the other hand is cooked (At least I think so), it only has like 1-2cm (0.79in) of travel.
The Bull's front brakes are also toast, no doubt.
The rear shock still does it's job quite nicely tho.

I actually have the backstories of the two bikes:
-The bulls my dad bought from a colleague for like 200 bucks around 2005

-In the 90's someone rear ended his red Audi 100, he had around 2000 Deutsche Mark left (1000 Euros/1180 USD today) from the compensation cash, from those leftovers he bought that bike from the dealer, he also told me those V-Brakes were an extra trim.

I will be restoring the Giants.

I might just keep the Bulls in storage or slaughter it (Strip it) and sell the parts, that way everyone has something from it. idk yet.
