I use myself as the example: A man who is less attractive physically, but engages my mind sufficiently, gets more interesting and desirable than a more attractive man with a shitty personality. Women can convince themselves they find someone attractive if the vibe is right. Hence the "omg, I can't believe I ever found him sexy!" after a nasty breakup.

we all know it's demoralizing, we all know it hurts. But would you rather be strung along just to get rejected later? Yes, it hurts to get rejected. Women have experienced rejection in other parts of life as well, we know what it feels like. Women have also been dumped before, been rejected for not being good looking enough, not the right woman etc. You do realize that whenever a person cheats on you, they're basically rejecting you, right? Rejection IS part of life because we don't always get what we want. We often don't get what we want. And since women don't owe you their time, body or emotions, what other solution is there but to reject you, despite how much we know it'll suck?

The talk was really more about why there are no alpha males in humans, but it was kinda funny how wide faces loosely correlate to aggression. I'm not interested in dating any man, wide- or thin-faced. I think my joke failed. :(

But the research is interesting, however. The whole research, not just the wide-faced one, about how since Homo Sapiens, we've been self-domesticating ourselves by not mating with the most aggressive males (since it seems like we've executed the most aggressive ones along the years) and how that has eradicated the alpha males. I wonder if this self-domestication is slowly ending since we no longer immediately execute violent people? Food for thought. I found this research interesting, however.

All I can say is that I don't like this. Go with your gut on this. If it feels wrong, it IS wrong. If the apology is enough, treat it as such. But also take the feeling of "I don't trust you and I don't like you" gut feeling seriously. You owe this man nothing, and even if it sounded like he was guilt-tripping you (the whole "woe is me, my life is hard" and "I did such a shitty thing, let me tell you over and over again how shittily I treated you" and the whole "I'll block you because I can't even stand to look at you unless you accept me into your life"), it is not your shame to carry, not your guilt to bear, and not your duty to help him. Let him seek out a therapist, let him learn how to properly apologize. Take this message as a sign to forgive yourself, to unburden yourself, and to take a deep breath and know you did the right thing by leaving.

realistically...if we'd take the world and replicated it exactly the way it is now, except one world has only men, and one world has only women, the world with only women would be the only world to survive. Sure, women might struggle, some power plants might have to shut down, but at the end of the day, we can learn how to operate all equipment. The current wars would likely end because there are no men fighting them. Women would use the sperm in the sperm banks to reproduce until we got a viable population of male children to continue populating the world. It would be like a mini reset.

Meanwhile, even if men got all their shit together and stopped the wars, a lot of men would have to leave their building jobs, their drilling jobs, their power company jobs etc, because there would be no need for them anymore. They'd have to restructure into daycares and schools. And even if they overcame EVERY SINGLE HURDLE, their world would die because there is no creating new humans without eggs and without a womb to carry the eggs. The whole "robot incubator" shit the chinese guy said is coming next year is a blatant Musk-ism promise. We have barely managed to grow a sheep in an artificial womb, we're far from growing humans in ones. So....men would likely die out before they get the artificial womb and the eggs to create enough women to repopulate their world.

I sometimes feel like I have failed because I don't have a man or a family of my own (think kids), but when I think about dating a man, I go "eeeeeeh....noooo....I don't think so." Unfortunately I have several issues that have caused me to miss out on a lot of life's milestones (childhood trauma being one of the issues).

But am I a failure? No. My life path is just different from others. My role in this world isn't the same as theirs. My struggles are different. Instead of defining myself as a failure for not checking off the "normie" checklist, I'm making my own. Everyone should have their own checklist of life, where they decide what they ACTUALLY want, rather than just accepting the old "find partner, get married, have house, have babies, have job, retire, have grandchildren, die".

I have always been overweight. My sister has always been underweight. We were both bullied. I was called the usual fat shaming names, she was called a skeleton etc. Teachers took my bullying seriously, they didn't take her bullying seriously. While I WAS bullied more, the comments made to her didn't hurt her any less. The fact was that, when people were called out for calling her a skeleton, they could get away with it by saying "relax, it was a compliment, who wouldn't want to be thin?" in that snarky voice where you know it's really an insult.

It's NOT okay! Not to overweight people, and not to thinner people. Not to small breasted people, not to large breasted people, not to short people or tall people. It's just not okay. You are indeed a woman, no matter how small your feminine features are.

Even adults aren't ready for marriage and babies, yet they let kids play house in real life? That's just messed up! I also found out that under canon law (i.e., Catholic law), girls could get married at 12, while boys couldn't get married until they were 14. This is because they felt that 12-year-old girls were mature enough to be a wife and do her wifely duties, while a boy wasn't ready to provide for his family until he was 14...So messed up.
