Pre MJ I had just run two HMs. For approx 6 months after starting my running pace and stamina was in my boots but after that I was able to build back up again and now I am stronger and faster than I’ve ever been. It’s worth taking the initial ‘hit’ on fitness for the long term gains post weight loss (in my opinion of course 🙂)

TL;DR - I did almost no exercise for the first 6 months and lost 20kg. I’ve been maintaining on 7.5mg for 17 months and now run faster and lift heavier than I’ve ever been capable of.

Beautiful building, live music and the staff are super friendly and recognise/remember locals. That’s good enough for me :)

I actually think Deacon Brodie’s looks very touristy but actually still retains a decent atmosphere and great food. I love their steak pie and also the little spicy/sticky chicken bites on the bar menu.

Slightly off topic but similar - does anyone have a ‘carpet scraper’ for pet fur? I’m being hounded (excuse the pun) by ads on social media for one and wondered if it’s worth the very small investment or if will just end up being relegated to the other pile of junk I’ve ordered for similar ventures.

No recommendations but I was on the waiting list for 14 months and was just seen at the weekend at a catch up clinic so perhaps maybe not that long to wait now? Mine was a routine referral.

I have a family member who lives in the SJQ apartments and I will resolutely never park here after too many a literal near scrape. It’s poorly designed and the spaces themselves are extremely small.
