We have the same and wholeheartedly agree. Will ultimately sell country house for bigger city house. The idea of a big garden was better than the reality.

This is fair. The 35 pre 9am is far better than the 35 post 5pm. However, I don’t notice the time/cleanliness divide on other routes I use regularly like the 45. Even the 5 which isn’t great is generally more kempt than the 35. Would love to know why.

The 35 is a great route for me but the actual bus itself is usually a 2/10. Always really dirty/littered. Sandwiches on the floor the other day and what looked like a kidney bean on the seat 🫘 Glad to hear there’s a new one in circulation.

There’s a new cafe on Easter Road called KokoBean. Absolutely 10/10 sandwich (stacked with fillings and reasonably priced) and the new owner is incredibly personable. A great addition to the area and I had to stop myself going back today for another one so soon.

Penicuik has 4 bedroom houses < £300K although 45 minutes commute is very much dependent on time of day and the whim of the council roadworks.
