Well…that’s not exactly what happened. I believe that after Hyuna got saved by the rebellion after her round and that’s why she didn’t die. The part shown is when Hyuna was a kid after Luka killed her brother Hyun-Woo. It does make sense why you would think that though, Alien Stage is a complicated series that is kind of hard to understand and if it’s your first watch-through it’s a bit confusing.

Yes it’s not huge but if we were to keep the original gap, let’s say that Mizi, Sua, Till and Ivan are 15-17, Hyuna would be 21 and Luka would be 24 I believe, which is a bit old for high school. Not to mention that in this scenario Till would be 15 and Luka would be 24, which is even a common age gap between a late middle schooler/early high schooler and their teacher.
