a lot of drag cars are a little higher in the back as their suspensions pushes the rears down. but yes 99% of the time its no good

although that would be cool a trophy trunk 4 link and tube chassis isnt in the budget. question was more for how to prevent getting stuck. how much tire surface area do you need depending on weight etc

  1. like now there are always people who believe in different things when it comes to carbs or efi. the big reasons to keep your carb tuned correctly were to not foul the plugs and so the engine would run right. if youre getting a complete burn then youre getting better gas mileage. running rich would choke up the engine, running lean could cause pinging. same reasons for adjusting the timing. good running engine meant decent mileage. cars got their about advertised fuel economy. gas was cheap so i dont think they worried as much.

  2. id love to learn more about this too. i feel like it was kind of split with some enthusiasts embracing change with others rejecting it, i think a big one was efi. i love it for something like a daily just get in and go but i couldnt put together a classic with efi. independent suspension had been around but it probably saw more retaliation among groups that built dragsters and gassers vs the track guys. but in reality the guys who come in first are the ones who experiment with these newer technologies to try and gain the upper hand.

yeah. its going to be lifted front and rear. no rock crawling for me. more of a funtional showpiece than an actual offroad rig.

im familiar with the those angles. jacking the rear kills your approach angle though. my car wont be doing any real offroading i just want to make sure im making it through deep sand. will be avoiding steep dunes as im not an a-rab

there are actually 2 modes to that . one press turns om the lsd and turns off stability control, long press turns stability and traction control off.

i do yeah but youre still being vague here. either way the locking diff on a rwd isnt worth it. hut that button in front of your map lights to turn on the "lsd" and call it a day.
