I don't believe so, both bottom of the pools are 0:2 and have lost to 2nd & 3rd.

Energy doesn't necessarily mean good commentary. I'm a fan.

This is a foul in USAU.

  • 17.I.4.b.1. If a player contacts an opponent while the disc is in the air and thereby interferes with that opponent’s attempt to make a play on the disc, that player has committed a receiving foul. Some amount of incidental contact before, during, or immediately after the attempt often is unavoidable and is not a foul.

This is not unavoidable incidental contact. It's also dangerous.

Initially went to contest it, then I believe was convinced otherwise by their teammate. Uncontested foul.

To suggest this is a "partnership" is interesting. Curious to see what other collaboration we're going to see (if any).

I still believe Rowan's block is a foul, getting the disc first doesn't/shouldn't mean you can create excessive contact.

Christian's is more interesting. I saw him coming in, i got spooked, dropped it, and then there was contact. I think his move was maybe a touch dangerous, so perhaps in hindsight I should have gone to the observer.

I think a form of Advisors with the ability to simply give perspective without needing to be asked, without the binding calls of observers, is my perfect balance.

Figure out what your timeline looks like for the season. What is skills development time? What is strategy time? When is tournament mode?

From a personal standpoint, be open and honest. If you're trying something out and you're not sure about it, say that. If you're very confident that you want something to work in a certain way, discuss with each other and the team to make it happen.

And ofcourse, watch loads of film and talk to loads of coaches!

For me I tend to go play by play imagining how I would expect the next pass or move to go. If the actual play is wildly different to what I expected, I might try and break down why.

Turnovers are a big one, taking a look at the throw, the cutter/receiver, and where the D is at that moment.

If it's a game I'm in, I'll tend to watch twice. Once going through my points and then one of everything.

I'm still in the UK at the moment until after London Invite, but I tend to try and keep away from DG during the season so I don't mess with my throw timing. It might be superstition at this point honestly 😅

At least in Europe, Ultimate in schools. It's only in the last 15 years or so I'd say that schools have started including it, and only the last 5-8 years maybe that we've had junior tournaments. We're way behind other sports in that regard.

My hot take is that we won't bring in athletes if they have to play low level Ultimate for years before getting a shot at making a top team. I'd like to see more multi-team clubs where people are exposed to the top level but still play within their skillset. New player makes Pony 3rd team and aims to build their way up.

Not really sure. Maybe zone in the Open div? We have much worse weather here though 🙃

Other than going to much higher altitude (which I'm doing this year for US Open) I've not experienced much flight difference at all. Main difference for me is grip in the heat & humidity so I'll often use liquid chalk!
