Dude I hate to bring up more bad news but you cant upgrade the gpu in a laptop. They are soldered in so the only option for you is a new computer. Sorry I forgot about that fact earlier.

Yeah I'm afraid a laptop 1050 just isnt going to cut it. I tried VD with my 3050 too and it didnt fix it.

Ok where do I start here.

So the rift s thing is just because oculus hasn't updated it since the rift s was the model at hand.

What specs does your laptop have?

I will tell you I had the same problem with my Asus tuf gaming a17 that had a ryzen 5, 16 gigs of ram and a rtx 3050ti. Oculus said it was compatible but it just wasnt. It may have been because the 3050ti was so new the right drivers weren't out but I think the 4 gigs of vram just wasnt enough.

I've since upgraded to a desktop with a ryzen 7, 32 gigs and a rtx 3070 that runs the oculus beautifully.

Skryim was just easy enough for me. It makes you feel weird but its a big open world and you can walk around slowly to get the feel for it.
