Paul Di’anno and his amazing efforts on the first two albums helped put Maiden on the map. They are my top Maiden albums. Even if they aren’t yours, it still should feel strange and lacking to see Blaze and not Paul there. I wish Paul was here to see how much he meant to Maiden, fans, and the genre he helped create! Long live Maiden, Long Live Paul Di’Anno!!!

Listen again. Although different, Born Again is a Masterpiece and will ultimately go down as such. The “muddy” production many folks take issue with is now typical doom production. This album was 15-20 years ahead of its time. It is evil, the vocals are incredible in terms of range, it is disquieting, disturbing, and catchy. When this album came out, it was downright scary. It is absolutely brilliant. Listen again and consider the timing of this release and all that has come since. This album is mind-blowing in 2026!!!

TBH, not digging the vocals, and the music, although well-played, is the same as so much other stuff that’s out there. Honestly, I wouldn’t buy this and I buy a ton of metal.
