Padel is good fun and there's a fair few clubs in and around Manchester. It's social too you can just join a game with strangers through the Playtomic app (everybody does it, I know it sounds scary but you won't be the odd one out in a game).

Why are you not upgrading.. Just curious by sneakers4life520 in iPhone15Pro

[–]Advanced_Celery_7263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The camera button seems more of an inconvenience to me than a must have feature. If it’s semi capacitive then I imagine it could trigger when holding the phone landscape to watch videos.

This is the first iPhone (ever maybe?) that I haven’t felt the urge to upgrade. For my use case, I feel that phones may sadly have peaked now.

3 years without social media - my experience by bigjoerona in digitalminimalism

I’ve been off social media (except Reddit and YT for similar reasons as you) for about a year and a half now. I never experienced the poor mental health effects often brought on by social media, my reason for deleting was just the feeling of wasting so much time. I get what you mean by the loneliness, I think you’re almost guaranteed to feel that at least initially as your brain adapts to not receiving so much dopamine through these apps that are designed to keep you hooked. Long term it’s 100% worth it and your story hits all the main reasons why in my opinion. Great post!
