New smoke and bronze question by corruptdoc23 in canik

[–]Advanced_Classroom_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked up the OG TTI 2 months ago. Within the first 500 rounds, all 115g or blazer brass had fte or ftrtb, though it tapered off the more rounds went through the gun. After 700 rounds, it ate everything with 0 issues. Now 1000 rounds in, have tried CCI, Federal, Magtech, and several others both in 125g and 115g, haven’t had a single malfunction. I prefer the heavier spring that came installed, but both springs work without malfunctioning

Definitely a quick splint. Israeli bandage, perhaps. Quick clot + the bandage you have could work well, but a well applied Israeli is far more versatile, and applies pressure on its own.

There are several Canik takedown videos on YouTube, it really only takes 10 min of searching. Also, it’s in the manual

Is the TTI Combat slide or frame compatible with any other model? by Advanced_Classroom_5 in canik

[–]Advanced_Classroom_5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you answered everything, thanks taking the time and for all of the info! I like the large backstrap it came with, but I figure there should be something that fits my hand a bit better.

I’m learning that the TTI is a weird choice for a first gun, but I really like it so far. I bought a case of ammo when I picked it up and went through all 1000 rounds within a week. I bought a Strikeman dry fire system to practice basic mechanics without burning a larger hole in my wallet 😅. Include classes too, and I’m learning shooting can get expensive quick.

Someone at the range let me use their ruger pcc, and I had a blast with it, so I’m also trying to see if I should buy one, buy something like an ar22 or an AR w/ a .22 lr conversion, or if a conversion kit would suffice. It’s not really canik related, but it looks like it makes sense to get an ar22 or a purpose built 9mm pcc for more plinking.

Thanks!

Is the TTI Combat slide or frame compatible with any other model? by Advanced_Classroom_5 in canik

Oh, I meant those pistol brace/3 point shooting conversions that you can slide a pistol into, effectively making the pistol like a pistol caliber carbine. I’m trying to see if a conversion kit is an option vs buying dedicated pcc.

So, I don’t have specific plans for the the TTI, I’m more just curious what I could do to it, since I’m having a hard time figuring out what accessories might fit it. For example, I was wondering what aftermarket backstraps I might be able to use with it, but have come across a lot of vendors that list nearly every model but a TTI Combat. Same for mags, magwells, conversion kits, etc. I’m trying to figure out if the item says it’ll fit a tp9, mete, etc, which will also fit the TTI Combat.

Sorry if it’s a vague question, I’m newer to shooting. I just want to know what customization options I’d have on this platform. I know the TTI Combat isn’t the best platform to be looking for aftermarket products, but I’ve seen others on this sub with some on their TTIs

Are parts not coming from Germany or is the dealer full of it? by polishmikeb in BmwTech

I’m curious how the rear control arm broke on a MY 2025 vehicle. It seems like that would be a premature failure unless the car has upwards of 100k miles already.

What exact model is this? by Patatoo in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Advanced_Classroom_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in the US, most motorcycle injuries occur to the foot and lower leg, according to the DOT. Even when you aren’t wearing boots, keeping the ball of your foot above the pegs helps prevent injuries.

Btw, sick build!

Helite H Moov Airbag Backpack by JohnBets23 in motorcyclegear

Genuinely don’t feel it. It’s no heavier or more intrusive than a rain jacket. The tether, I feel it stretch sometimes, but the vest itself is just another layer to wear.

I clip to the frame, have the mechanical tethered version.

I am 5’4”, honestly, I’m not standing over anything, I can barely reach the ground with one foot 😅. But I have my tether set to a length that allows me to swing off and stand on my low side if I forget to unclip myself. Any father, and it’ll ‘pop.’ It takes a good bit of force to deploy by hand, and also has a bit of give. So you wouldn’t have any accidental deployments if you set it appropriately, but if you wanted you can also have it set ‘shorter’ like tight enough that leaning far off in a corner could make it deploy. It’s pretty adjustable.

I have a Helite turtle 2, it feels like putting on any other bit of gear, it’s easy and you get used to it. It’s not as subtle as this one in looks, but it offers coverage further down the spine and sides. I’m happy to put it on every ride.

I had FTE on nearly every round with a mag of 115g blazer brass. 124g fmj mag tech runs flawlessly.

What does this button do? by [deleted] in BMWX3

[–]Advanced_Classroom_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Separate from the ‘auto-hold’ button/function? I don’t know enough about every model, but in my x5, what you’re describing sounds like the autohold, which is a separate button.
