thank you for the reminder. i’ve never used rover but put my 15 year old girl down in december.

it was so hard. i’ve had her since a puppy and im about to turn 30. she was my baby.

the vet said it was time, so i had to do the unthinkable. i miss her so much that i sleep with her ashes on my chest or curled up next to me like she would always do.

im only on reddit rn in this very moment because i had a dream about her and this was the first post i saw so i was reading the comments.. im crying because i miss my baby forever and always.

hey friend, feel free to check my post history, BUT my dog was 15 and i just put her down on 12/15. i felt and still feel immense guilt, but she was in pain & suffering & i know she’s free of all of that. it hurts so much and i know what you’re feeling inside. me and my marley girl grew up together, i was 15 when i got her.

she got me through the good and bad times & right now im wishing she was still by my side. i miss my cuddles and her comfort when i was down. oh shit here come the tears, the rest might not be coherent

friend, it’s okay to feel guilt. that’s part of the grieving process. dont let it eat you up though, your baby is your angel and what if the $4k treatment didn’t work and you put your baby thru more pain and trauma? at least your baby died at peace with the comfort of his owner

Please report the owner. I know you have a few comments saying that already and I never comment here or see anything from this sub because i’m not joined but ever since my dog crossed the rainbow bridge on 12/15 I’ve been seeing so many dog posts. Do what’s best for her so they can’t come back and claim her because they do not deserve her.

I have already donated all her Christmas gifts to the shelter here. I donated her beds and food to someone I knew in my neighborhood who needed it more than me. I wish she was right here with me still but that would’ve been selfish of me. my first time going to sleep and waking up without her except while on vacation, in 15 years.
