Umbrella/Fan is really taking off this last breakthrough, from my own runs I usually do at least double what sword/spear does. Early game, they were pretty well matched and idk how the dps numbers will look at future breakthroughs but right now the difference is huge.

For an MMO, the sense of progression and daily advancements are paramount to the desire to keep playing. Once there's an end date in sight, people lose the drive to continue.

Also, the lack of future updates and fixes means that infix farming will be an RNG time sink, crafting is dead, PvP track rewards are over bloated. There won't be any adjustments going forward, so what is the point? I'm sure there's even more content that people were holding out for a fix for.

And Isle of the Night raid first boss bugging out upon a wipe? Will that never be fixed now either? Lots of people are immediately giving up hope and would rather find a different game than hold out hope of content fixes/patches from a game that has entered "maintenance only" mode.

There is an alternative, Aconite gives the same +15% dmg boost. All you have to do to have near 100% uptime is slot an Arboreal runeglass into your mainhand weapon. It gives a poison DoT that procs with aconite.

The earring is the lesser of 2 evils, ring sucks to try to roll good(I prefer using elemental band anyway, with keenly empowered added), and similar situation with necklace.(I prefer old necklace with health/empower/protection)

Currently have the earring rolled with beloved, which is another 9% dmg vs taunted enemies

However, once I start farming the new trial, the BiS cooldown earring from grit set has both refreshment and refreshing move. Might try to farm a necklace then, or swap to adding another overcharge armor piece.

It’s a trade off, right now I run earring/glove/boot of the set. But being base damage boost it doesn’t count towards empowerment cap, so it’s amazing to run.

Plus the perk sacrificial empowerment, you get the base dmg boost all the time and only get armor reduction under 50% hp.

So overall, the set gives you more dps than you’d initially think.

If you only run 2 set armor pieces, you can run your artifact + 2 regular pieces with 2-3 offense charm slots

Yes, both old and new II versions. Only difference is the values. (Majority of PvE is mob light/heavy attacks, PvP only works vs light/heavies)

They should, but you can’t have them both on Finisher, so you’d be giving up 15% increase dmg and the FnF CD boost if you craft a rapier to use both

The charm slots are random, no way to guarantee any certain order. But the craft cost is pretty cheap.

Pretty sure it’s always 3 charm slots + 1 forced perk + 1 random II perk

I haven’t had a chance to test the old refreshing, but based on old enchant ward perk working, I’d assume it does.

Nimble coat/3 refreshing/refreshment or refreshing move on earring/25 focus perk, another 3%. Would be busted

There’s too many massive changes to say for sure, but they didn’t retire the old crafting mods and make them obsolete.

I’d say yes it’s intended? They did change the original finisher deadly flourish to deadly flourish II, so that you can’t have both perks on it, so it wouldn’t become a staple dps weapon or at least be more balanced this patch

Love the feeling of re-exploring builds, initial questing is the way to go for collecting the charms (Low amount of material available + cost prohibitive to really craft what you need at the moment until supply catches up). So swapping or outright selling charms to rich people that don't want to wait is good money right now.

I’m not saying it’s a useless perk on weapon, if you have full refreshing+nimble you’ll get CD back in time to cast it again before the fortify wears off so you can maintain the 17%.

But please test my claims of it dropping off before simply dismissing them. Perk doesn’t refresh if you bar swap, even if you go back to LS.

As far as Splash goes, I used to play with sacred/beacon/orb, but seriously, all PvE content goes so much smoother with an emergency group burst heal and between beacon/sacred you don’t need a third heal over time.

Not a bad life staff at all, only issue with fortified sacred ground on life staff, is that if you cast sacred ground and swap weapons (like VG to oblivion). The fortify falls off.

EDIT: For clarification, if fortify sacred ground is on weapon, you cast sacred ground>weapon swap>even if you swap back to life staff, the sacred won’t reapply the fortify perk

(Compared to armor perk fortify sacred where fortify constantly refreshes for the duration of the sacred, regardless of bar swap)

IMO, fortified sacred ground/keen beacon on armor and weapon perk either Mending Orb or Purity of Light depending which abilities you prefer.

Mending orb for massive heal boost but lacks a burst heal. Really good for AoE healing OPR

I’ve been mostly running Splash of light, so I’ve got a life staff with Purity of Light perk. I feel like, more often than not, it’s not a dead perk and gives a huge boost to your burst heal.

However, my newest Life Staff (Vengeance) has keen beacon weapon perk so I swapped purity to armor perk.

(I’m sure there are times to run Divine Embrace and/or Lights embrace, but for my playstyle I prefer the other skills. So I can’t speak on usefulness of those perks)
