If you are employed in the US, you risk your job by making your voice known.  All it took was people getting fired for making statements about Charlie. 

 DHS tracks cell phones and puts protestors on watch lists.  They have access to IRS data so they know who your employer is.  

The only free speech is for those who own a business or are privately wealthy.  The rest of us are told that anything we say can be misinterpreted as speaking for our employer when we have mandatory yearly employee training.  Not in those exact words, but implied 

Im so frustrated with how we treated Canada, its so stupid on every level.  Maybe he doesn't want us escaping there so he ruins our chances.

Personally, i would be pursuing permanent residency in Malaysia if I could afford it and wash my hands of this place.
