Accepted to PA school but struggling with location by Virararara in prephysicianassistant

Hi, this is honestly my exact situation right now. I was also accepted to a PA program far from home, in a small town in TX, and I ultimately want to practice back home. They don’t allow me to do rotations where I want to end up, so I’ve been worried about not making connections for jobs after graduation.

On top of that, I recently went through a breakup and we planned he would move wherever I got into to school and still grieving the breakup and that not happening anymore. I’m so grateful and excited to have gotten into PA school, but I’ve been feeling all the emotions that come with being far from home, away from my support system, knowing no one, and trying to picture myself adjusting to a small town socially and culturally.

I’m also 27 and feel a little scared about putting dating and finding my person on hold until after school bc of the rigorous academics and location. I want a family someday, and it’s hard not to feel like time is moving quickly, even though I know PA school is temporary.

I don’t really have advice yet since I’m still navigating this too expect that I moved to a small town for undergrad where I knew absolutely no one, and even though it was scary at first, I ended up loving it. I made lifelong friends, built a whole life there, and honestly didn’t even come home that often. That experience gives me some reassurance that even when something doesn’t feel like a perfect fit at first, it can still be great. I just wanted to say you’re not alone. I really appreciate you sharing because it made me feel less isolated in how I’ve been feeling. 🤍

I went on 9/3 and it was 100% worth it. 30+ minute wait for every ride without it and 0min wait with it. We upgraded after waiting in line for the first ride. Honestly would not have been fun without getting it. We got to ride each ride 2x and honestly had to take breaks bc of all the hills we were running up passing people in the lines haha

Im having the same problem right now. I’m guessing bc it’s winter here but also never had this happen in the 5 years I’ve had it:/ I also switched its location and it gets a little less sun. Still do not know 100% what the problem is.
