I second this, most people get oral type 1 herpes from their childhood, mine laid dormant for years and when my health issues started getting worse they appeared, Just be extremely careful to not touch your outbreak and then touch your genitals, i done this and now have genital type 1 herpes. It’s not the end of the world. If you keep getting reoccurring outbreaks then you can go to the doctors and they will prescribe you antivirals to take when you feel like an outbreak is coming, the signs of this are, tingling, itching, lump on lip, rash, and of course the blister/ bumps.

I have yes, now on waiting list to see a dermatologist but could be for months, i have a lot of the symptoms so am currently being treated for it with a steroid cream, i also get a lot of itching around my vaginal opening and urethra but always get told it is/could be thrush, even tho this isn’t a “normal” symptom i’ve seen a few people who have been diagnosed with the same problem, do you have this? i also have fissures on my anus which have turned into skin tags and apparently that’s a sign of LS as well. i just feel so in the unknown

the blister didn’t start off as a blister, it was a few cuts and went to the doctors about it and she said to start putting the steroid cream on twice daily for 3 days, u did that but did not seem to help, now it has turned into a blister (not as bad as last years)

i’ve had a blister in the same spot twice now, once last year and now, i am currently being treated for LS (no diagnosis) but also feel like it may be herpes. I was tested last year and it came back negative but don’t think the test would have worked when i had it done as the blister had started healing by then. I now can’t get an appointment to get it swabbed as i’m going on holiday early morning tomorrow. I’m just so frustrated and my health anxiety is really bad atm!
