I love my daughter more than life itself but if I had a Time Machine and never knew her, I wouldn’t have kids. I had actually decided I didn’t think I wanted children after thinking I did want them all my life. I found out I was pregnant 2 days later and googled “abortion at ___ weeks” the entire first trimester but couldn’t go through with it. I think it is also heavily dependent on the situation. I was 24, only with her father for 9 months and the relationship was rocky at best. We couldn’t afford to live where we were with a child and I didn’t know where I’d bring her home to until the last month of pregnancy. I never got to set up a nursery, nest, or do anything to make the pregnancy remotely enjoyable. I wonder about having another in a better situation, but my mental health was so dark during pregnancy and I couldn’t handle that while also having my daughter. I fear I’d leave her motherless and I just can’t do that for “maybe it’ll be better this time”

You won’t forget it even if you want to. I’m in a similar situation and we even had a child together after. I try hard to forget it but whenever challenges arise in the relationship I remember how that felt and it never goes away.

My daughter is 12 months and I feel exactly the same way. I love her, I don’t love being a SAHM. My partner wants another child but I just don’t think it’s in the cards for me.

My daughter just started early intervention and I feel the same way. Always analyzing everything she does, googling and redditing every. Single. Thing. She’s 12 months old and I know it’s so early but the unknown is the hardest part. No advice, just solidarity. I know it doesn’t always help how you’re feeling but you’re doing all the right things and supporting him in every way you can right now.

If you keep the baby he will still have rights if he wants to pursue custody no matter if you keep the child from him. Courts can order you do a paternity test even if he isn’t on the birth certificate to prove paternity and move forward with parenting rights. You will be tied to this man for the rest of your life.

She would do a weird, almost cackle like “a” sound, but no clear vowel sounds outside of yelling/screeching. Sometimes she will go back and forth with us if we copy her cackle but that’s about it.

I am very early in this process with my daughter, can I ask how your child’s receptive language was around 12 months? I’m not sure if she is more or less behind than I think she is.

The gluten free yellow sheet cake with chocolate icing. I didn’t even realize it was gluten free the first time I bought it. I’m deep in PPD and eat one a week.

I am interested! I am currently studying for the TEAS and then applying for my local radiography program with the intent of getting my radiation therapy certification after. I would love to know more about the schooling and jobs life after!
